I take it that means slaves don't sell well any more?

I suspect he means that the past tense is more appropriate considering that their organs are in a cargo hold outbound for another star system.

If you'd notice, the devs have actually made many more routes profitable. Things like Copper and Cobalt are very profitable now.

The restructuring of the trade routes this version was supposed to result in one thing: Make people think more about their Roleplay when trading. As you could see in .84, there was a way to trade without ever actually thinking about what your trader was doing. It was called the Trader ID. This little facet was fixed in the latest update, but, as in all development processes, there were ways to exploit the system that were not expected.

Do you think that people who only have a vague idea of what their character is or does are beneficial to server roleplay? I don't really think so. I rather think that people who only have a vague idea of what Roleplay is and make no attempt to learn and join a corporation (mind, not a faction) to understand what RP is are very harmful to server roleplay. What breaks immersion more than "Just kill me, it costs less." and similar comments? As a staunch pirate, I can't really think of anything.

In this update, the Zoner Guard ID happened to allow people to trade without thinking about their characters at all, just like the independent trader ID. It had no restrictions, as the corporate IDs. Zoners were not restricted by wars. Zoners were not restricted by character disposition. In being able to go anywhere in the biggest ships and claim to be anyone, the Zoner Guard IDs were new independent trader IDs. They empowered traders to do anything, go anywhere, and not have to think! Isn't that glorious? The intent was that the ID would be harder to get than an average corporation ID, but, it seems that the gains given for the investment in the ID were deemed worthwhile.

What's more is that the risk involved in the trade route in question was negligible. Simply hit F2, read a book. F3, F2, read a book until you get to wherever you're going. You can replace "read a book" with whatever humdrum activity you want, such as playing Guild Wars or an emulator. Why should it have more profits than a more risky life as a corporate trader? The intent was that the run was more dangerous, but, in practice, there is no way a pirate could catch all Deuterium - Organs traders. What's more is who would pirate a Zoner who is acting like a Zoner every day of the week?

I somehow fail to spot hypocrisy. In fact, I just find an accusation of hypocrisy without any real evidence. Mind not being so cryptic about what you mean and simply say it without slandering your rhetorical opposition?

EDIT: What I see here is complaining for the sake of complaining, without looking at all the good that was done. Look at Gallia. It has trade routes that actually work now, even though they have low base profits. I know it's easy to just point fingers and yell "You broke my toy!", but look at all the toys which were fixed in the process. Maybe share your toys? It isn't that hard.

' Wrote:Why do refugees need organs? :/ They're fleeing from war to prevent themselves from needing those organ transplants when they get blown up. As it stands, those refugees haven't been blown up because they're refugees that escaped from the war zone...

Plus I'm sure Bretonian doctors wouldn't be best impressed with their patients being provided with black market organs that haven't been quality checked or controlled, and are provided by a station that is renowned for the number of slaves that grace it's cargo decks.

I don't run organs hardly ever but I do on occasion. Read the "Tombstone Estate" story line and you'll see why. I expanded Doc Holliday's knowledge into a full doctor. As a man who has had a second chance at life, he chooses to save lives, not take them.
With the Port Jackson colony on GC and his constant flow of research projects, he gets that occasional shipment of organs. Those that aren't suitable are used for research. I'm not justifying the power trading of them but there are a few that actually use RP when getting them.

People mention the black market on organs. Granted, it is pretty bad but look at how RL is now. It used to be that an organ had to be perfect for transplant. They now will use them if they aren't quite perfect. I forget the exact rule on it.

BTW, Doc's medical staff on GC is mostly Bretonian.

Do not blame your failure on the lack of hypocrisy. It is inherent. (I shall remain cryptic and leave the double entendre in there.)

For instance, taking a Spyglass, stripping all the guns off it, lowering the armour, giving it a Starflea power supply and giving it back to the Lane Hackers and saying, well, you should still be able to RP with it. (No-one is going to sit on their hands and just take that. They will complain.)

Same thing. Taking something. Making it worthless, or worth less and giving it back. It is not whining. It is a genuine complaint. Eh.

(As you are all aware, I did the route in question once, one way. Ever. Hence, I am biased.)

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

How am I supposed to trade while doing sanctions now?

This is absurd.
