Despite the fact that I don't bother to read half this thread, if it goes, Ill gladly write you some awesome arse-kicking Walker material.

This is a community project. I'll be away this weekend, with little-no access to internet. So I'll be back on Sunday to check on this.

So, Walker, write up your kick-effing-arse script. Leo, mix up your kick-effing-arse music. Any Camera ships out there, start recording game footage you think is interesting. (I'm talking to you, Eye of the Stars!)

Well, now that I consider it...

I think the trailer needs to be as accurate as possible so...

First we start off with a Freeport 7 like sequence with a ship leaving...

And then we have it all "Unknown ships detected..."

And then we have Nomads appear...

And then Lolwutters appear and the voices are all interwined and going "Lol owned, your mom! PWNTZ! I SANKSHUN JOO! NABZ!"

I think it very well describes Discovery.

what I don't like about most trailers is that they show all kinds of 'ooohhh' and 'aahhhh' FMV stuff, but no actual gameplay footage.

thats a step in the rite direction in my opinion.
But I'd suggest less HUD and maybe some more dialog so it conveys some kind of story.

I made this with what footage I had lying around. mostly BHG as you can see.

camera ship nohud and all messages off makes for epic filming. navigating becomes a pain, but hey, who cares?

first 2 shots of the tariler were made with that setup. clean footage is the result.

but when I am actively participating in a fight, I do need my hud:)

I really like it dash, but i think you might want to include combat footage of something diffrent, like a bretonia-kusari fleet battle.

I agree. In fact, just combine clips of major fleet battles together, things like:

BHG vs Order
Order vs Keepers
Liberty vs Rheinland (not alot, but I'm sure you can find some footage lying around)
Bretonia vs Kusari
Corsair vs Outcast

Also all the others which I can't think of at the moment. Most of the clips could be found in Battleslots perhaps?
