I think that:
NPCs in Guard systems (Including Phantom, Colonial Remnant, Nomad, Wilde, and Gallic) should have Train/Reinforced CDs.
Gallic NPC Bombers should have SNACs removed (SNACs on Gallic NPCs are why most Valors have 2 Flaks mounted on them).
This way, when we get the player count back up again, we wont have many NPCs, and they won't keep disrupting you.

Here's a fun exercise. Join the SCRA, fly a Partisan, then try to get from Omega-52 to Honshu. Centurion swarms in Omega-5, Titans in Omega-41, Hammerheads (oh, so many Hammerheads, maybe ten at once) in Omicron Theta, PLUS the Titans. Oh yes, and there are no Coalition bases between 52 and Honshu, so enjoy having to start all over again every time you encounter a group of Hammerheads/Titans (which will be often).

NPCs do not roleplay. NPCs have exactly the kind of "red = dead" mentality we loathe in players. Claiming they add to roleplay is ridiculous to anyone who's had to deal with them on their way to a roleplay session. They. Are. Annoying. And with the "jump systems recharging" and cruise drain, guess what? If they CD you, you've got no hope of defending yourself till your power comes back. If you find a swarm of them on the other side of a jump hole, you're screwed, 'cause there's no way you're cruising away (they have CDs). There's no way you can kill them all, 'cause they just keep spawning. Well, you can always jump back, right? Ha! We laugh at your ignorance! Nope, you have to wait more than ten seconds to jump out, by which time the NPCs will have killed you, retrieved your pod, cut off your head and mounted it on their wall.

Get rid of their CDs outside Guard systems. At least.

Couldn't have said it better myself I mean I'm all for NPC's but I'm trying to RP at Freeport 5 on my Hacker Prison Liner and ships are taking down my health, and I can't stay in the base because that will get me kicked for being idle. I mean I can't RP on the damn thing without being killed it took me 30 minutes to leave Omega-49 I believe it was because the Titan's kept disrupting me and killing me taking down 100K shields in no time. I'm very excited to RP on my Liner but damn is it frustrating especially when I have to go replace all my CARGO every time I die.

Would it be possible to make them weaker or even better just decrease the spawn rates in certain areas because in the long run they don't give anything to RP.

Last night a Wilde raid party tried to go out. 2 fighters, 2 bombers, and 1 GB. We could not go more then 5k on cruise without being disrupted by a horde of 10+ NPCs, have to kill them all, cruise another 5k, repeat. It was ridiculous. Either tone down NPCs or remove their CDs. They don't add realism, they add annoyance.
What system was this in? What sort of NPCs would disrupt you?

Suicidal ones.

Specifically Omegas 3, 5, 7, 15, 41. Even if they couldn't really hurt us (Omega 3) they could keep at least one member there unless they were all dead. The ones in 15/41 were especially painful to kill. Titans with the armor of...lots of armor.

I know what you mean those damned Titans and they managed to kill me... In a Liner which shouldn't be possible for a fighter. (NPC fighter anyway)

I've seen many the time in the old S/D days when a fighter would go to Omega-49 to pick up a weapon because that's where it was available - and not be able to get out of the system. I think it was Prowler that I had to rescue down there because he'd been trapped for a week by them - because the Corsairs just would not let him live long enough to jump out.

Titan spam.
It's why the miners in Omega 49 used to try and get a Corsair bribe.
It's OORP rep, but the way the NPCs ganked was OORP aswell - complete waste of resources.
Titans have too much armour. Take a note of that and get out the nerf cannon!

I'd like to see general patrols decreased slightly and lane breaks to all but disappear when the server pop is over 100. Cap patrols can stay. They're cool.

Gallia needs to keep it's bomber patrols, though.

Well I think when someone tells me when I ask how the hell do you RP in the Border Worlds I get. "Grab a Capital Ship it's the only way." There is a problem.... Gallia should remain and Cap ships yes but for the love of all that is holy please cut down the patrols of random NPC's.
