Quick question: /l doesn't seem to transmit to the area outside the base (or into a base for that matter). Will two people using /l inside a base see each other chatting?

No /l doesn't transmit in an area local to the base unless the base is at the very center of the system*. I'll see if this can be changed. It might be possible

*FL sets the coordinates of ships in bases to 0,0,0

Since the time, about a year ago, when I sat in a liberty border station getting kicked at least 4 times while waiting for LN officials to take an Admiral and several VIPs to New York for me (I didn't want to risk the diplomatic consequences of being in a BAF vessel in Liberty space), I've been hoping something like this would happen.

Wait... so if someone was in a base using /l, and someone else was in the middle of the system, they would hear all of the messages?

Seems so. But doubt that all players in system would swarm sun in a middle of it to hear what people saying in local chat:mellow:

Here comes <strike>Santa Claus</strike>another question - What if player writes in local chat near center of system? Do all players on bases hear what writes man outside?
