For Bretonia Armed Forces Tech, I suggest that we should only use their weapon (maybe even just high ranking members), not ships. We're civilians after all.
And where's Star-... series of ships? Not all are rich.
No no, Skype is used as a chat program as well, im going to make a Chat group for the militia so we can organize us OOC, plan things ahead and discuss things about the group.
And I can provide some startup money for each player, 10-15 million would suffice I think.
And about the Bretonian forces tech, well, we are starting out with civilian weaponry, until we can have some form of official acceptance OOC and InRP by the Armed Forces leadership, then maybe we can use their weaponry and perhaps one or two ships.
As you said, we are after all Civilians, and with the war, the BAF probably can't spare more then weapons for us, we will just have to make due with what we got, our own ships:)
I am loving this idea, and I will stick with this 'til the end.
It has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now, after I started to play a Lawful Freelancer from Bretonia, it just felt right somehow *grins*
Yes, yes, yes!Imagine my feeling when I guard the Leeds blockade with only one or maybe two comrades and Mollys having a party in Dublin, Sairs in O3, some Phantom messing around, Kusarians gathering near stokes, blockade runners and ignorant traders thinking we are dumb and dont see them passing the blockade...:blink:I cant be telling for whole BAF as I am only an Ensign, but if there was a Militia who would help us out sometimes it would be great, I remember we have already beta-tested this out... Serpentis was there as Star.Fire and we RPed it as he received limited rights of law enforcer as he was stopping blockade runners near Stokes. Players didnt like it much when Freelancer was stopping them, byt they dont like BAF doing it either. See you in space Militias!

Hehe awesome:)
Yeah, it was alot of fun being employed by BAF that time, in which we proved that freelancers can indeed help out;)
I hope that this indeed will work out for all, but I really wish LeMaitre would give his suggestions to us:)
Kill Mollys, not Kusari, since the BAF would hire any volunteers. The UK, has a history on relying on professional forces and conscripts, as opposed to civilian militias (The War of 1812 mostly had Redcoats, although there is the Canadian Militia Myth.). Any, ahem, 'loyalist militias' have a history of being what most of us call 'terrorists'.
Bretonia should follow this formula, if it has anything like this at all, and have BMM tagged workers taking the law into their own hands, murdering civilians that support the Mollys.
If you want to fight the Kusari for Bretonia, the BAF are recruiting. It's their job.
If you wonder why folk financing the Mollys are getting off scot-free... become a UDA-type terrorist, Mollys in reverse.
Fair enough, but you may find that the BAF already cover this, and redundancy is a reason for a lot of factions collapsing, such as many unlawfuls in Rheinland.
