It's largely because both sides, like Joe said in a different post, forget to realize that this is a game. The hostility arises from miners going "oh cripes, a pirate coming to take an hour of work" and just f1'ing, and pirates going "lol a noob miner let's take all of his ore." Not all miners do this, not all pirates do this, but enough do to make it a problem. No one is nice to each other.

That was my oversimplification of the matter. Enjoy. I'm too tired to deal with this right now. T_T

edit: Also, Dab, philosophical bollocks like "the admins didn't nerf it, the community did" is just that, bollocks. The community moaned and whined like every community does. The admins acted. I'm not going to judge yea or nay on this issue, but let's get our facts straight.

I wonder if we'll still see the 10mil demands from pirates now and if the admins will curb stomp the pirate for it.

Little work vs lots of work. I can understand why.

I may be utterly mistaken, but FLHook cannot increase profits overall for each commodity by a certain percentage?

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

You would have to ask cannon that, but I assume it would have to be done commodity by commodity.

Yay! Change! Change is good. It keeps things from getting boring. Let's see what new opportunities there are.

This didn't increase opportunities. That's why it's called a nerf. Increasing opportunities would mean something inherently new added to the equation.

Stop being enthusiastic, it's not how Discovery is supposed to be.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

I must say, I am a little sad

I feel that this hurts those of us who had really built up around mining much more than those who abused it.

I feel like I am being punished for the actions of those over whom I have no power.

However, as always, Admin/Developer decisions must be accepted. I shall convert my miners to traders. Not sure what will be done with the ICMG ( which I co-direct) though.
