You have no idea what you are talking about, go away, or come back with constructive criticism, or, lets see....a brain, or, did you know, that, on void, they don't use b/b? If you don't like how we do it here, go somewhere else, no one likes you.

@the rest of you:
As far as a smokescreen goes, how would one fire it behind them as they ran away?
Darts look like a good idea, but, tracking has its problems....that can't be surmounted...its like the AI autopilot, we upped the speed, now it sucks.

Trailing mines might be sweet....I really want to haul a chain of them into Starbutt.

about ammo, is it possible to make missiles shoot 5 ammo with one shot? - that might be a way to reduce the available shots. ( like VIP taking up 5 cargo units instead of 1 )

then you d have to buy 70 still, but would only be able to shoot 16 missiles. that way its possible to make really tough missiles, when the dicussion goes towards the BIG missiles.

Kind of a hybrid missle/mine that has tracking abilitites but after a certain distance from the player will detonate automaticly.:$

allthough i agree with you blunt - the aiming system IS there to save lazy people from aiming:laugh:.

at pinky and brain : ... its more cause the "formation" works much better than the tracking does - most of the time ... cause the speed of the subject taking formation and its agility is increased to get into formation - that is... get to a certain point in space.

Seriously, ask Korrd about missiles if he gets active again. He used to make a big deal about aiming missiles. Just spamming them won't work.

So, today's lesson is a repeat of many other days' lessons actually,

"Learn to aim!"

Knowing how to aim with guns is always better than relying on missiles that could get depleted in long fights. But there are people who really know how to use missiles.

There was no sidewinder in vanilla and if I am not wrong, no paralyzer launcher was available then either.

Learn to aim at bugged hitboxes that should be made manually for each ship because i die!

Here's a constructive suggestion:

We don't need new missile types. We need existing ones fixed. Increase missile damage, and improve missile tracking!

@Unselie/Bluntsomethingsomething:

Why don't two of u go play Space invaders deluxe? Lots of shooting there, without aiming assistance (and no analogy to reality what so ever). Being such RP experts, I'm sure u could develop an engaging RP story about Space invaders universe....have a ball there...
