' Wrote:... why would a pirate go to Bretonia where he would get no RP interaction.....

And why would any police/armed forces player stay in Bretonia when no pirates and traders are coming there?

It's just a bit of closed circle isn't it.....

It's mostly the traders that bring life to places...
traders=>pirates=>police

It's just about the same logic as people that play for a faction and say... I'm not logging into the character when noone else from the faction is around... well noone logs on then... and the faction is never online.

EDIT: The Sigma 13/NB combo has simply too many pros for a pirate:
-Many traders
-Short to get there (from Alpha,Choguku..Gamma)
-RM to fight with
-Blasters to mine

Well, I smuggle artifacts and counterfeit software through Bretonia and Liberty all the time, sassing everyone in my path. Plenty RP there.

Nothing needs changed about the jump hole, just the trade routes. The only two trade routes is the cardimine from Malta, and the Niobium from New Tokyo. Decrease the Niobium to NT run (leave Malta run as is, its balanced, and logical, as well as unlawful-only) and increase runs that go to Liberty and Bretonia. There should be decently high-paying routes between Kusari and Bretonia now, becase the Bretonians are not going to want people taking cargo from Bret to Kusari, and Kusari; Vice-versa. So people who are willing to anger the governments and do some smuggling of lawful goods should make better money than those doing fully lawful routes, but not as good as the contraband smuggler routes. This will also help get KNF and SF/QCO/QCP more active, and they are the two groups that are the least active in terms of houses. Not because of their fault, but because all the good routes are in Rheinland, and Liberty is where everyone starts, plus where New York, the trading hub, is.

QCO, as i recall, doesn't do a "Police" work.
And SF is small in numbers.

Yeah, we're trying to kick QCO into activity.

We've some upcoming cunning plans for Privateering in Kusari, and we're planning on some training for our Light Fighters and Bombers for the retaliatory strikes on the KNF.

Also, the IMG are going to find themselves shot up in the name of Her Majesty (and the BMM... uh, oops), and the Zoners and Corsairs will find some pressure applied in Omega-49.

And yes, we don't do police work, we're the Armed Forces, dammit.

Im not saying that its right im just saying thats how it is, people will always congregate where other players are because thats why people play multiplayer.

Ask Igiss to make it so those ships don't drop blasters which is easy enough to do. I can see how that would be annoying (people ooc killing wild for blasters), but for the most part i would be glad i operate in a active part of the galaxy.

If there are no equally profitable routes compared to the NB to NT or Kyushu..make some.

If there are equally profitable routes that involve more of Sirus...post em.

People are right in saying it is now a very profitable area so a ton of traders are always there as well as a ton pirates to pirate those traders and a ton police/security/navy to fight the pirates.

It is not so much the JH that is causing the imbalance as the trade route.

Honestly I am just lazy. If folks want to tell or make a good route that takes me through libery and bretonia I'd be happy to start doing that. And if lot of folks also started doing that route we would see more pirates there which might make me feel like making a Bretonian character.

Also, I would not want to see even more Wild at the sigma-13 JH. There are already a ton on both sides of the hole.

If the blaster dropping is an issue to a lot of folks I am all for nerfing it so they no longer drop them.
