Well attacking with exactly same style after your shields got down is a suicide.... especially when you are in a wireframe ship against sunslayers/missiles/nukes.
It also is very RP to try not to die... instead of just charging to get killed. Personally I almost never go completely full evasive... I just change my style to be a bit more on the safe side. But I have no problem with people doing that...if you want to kill them you should be able to kill them while evasive.
Yes I tend to bore GBs to death in my fighter... they can never kill me.. and I can never kill them (without NPC help)... but that makes them leave the area or keeps them from pirating there... so it's actually my victory. Tough for GB pilots... get a fighter escort.

To sum it up...
This is an RP server... no character would want to die in a fight.. we are supposed to act like them.
I also don't see an Outcast fighting like a gentleman with a Corsair.. do you?
If you want a "fair fight" ask the other one to meet in Connecticut with no bats/bots... or better yet.. go to the PVP server.

EDIT: RPing should be fun and PVP as part of RP should be fun... not just PVP for it's own sake...go to PVP server if you don't like it that way.
For me it's much more fun to have one good fight lasting 2 hours...with RPlines/situation/background than 3 mindless fights in the same time.

Well I'm sorry to hear that mate, I certainly enjoy our fights. Although I am taking a break from tearing up Rhienland at the moment. The last fight we were involved in was a bit of a rush for me but I was fighting you and another RM then after I wasted u both :P another 2 RM, I killed 1 of them, the other one was Razr and we fought for so long that we just agreed to give up :D
Fighting against the odds is a big thrill for me :D I understand what you are saying though. A one on one between us can become so long it's stupid.
Anyway I am takin a short break from Rhienland while I try to bring law to New York. Hopefully I can bring something new to our battles on my return.

Independants tend to use capships... which usually means their swift dead :)... wait until LH gets enough members in good fighters/bombers... LSF GBs would go down like flies.:)

There is no sin in trying to get away if you see the outcome will result in your death. Sometimes, it's possible to bite off more than one can chew. Some of those players are very skilled and getting away is in no way a sure thing in the first place.
I avoid PvP sometimes, to be honest, especially when I'm just trying to make some cash for one of my characters via missions. Though most times I feel confident I can take someone down I usually just try to escape unneeded fights, especially when I'm getting called left and right and can't do anything about it.
You're missing the point old chum. Its not about a realistic likelihood of survival, its about everyone pulling out their *censored* and seeing whose is longer, and these guys complain when someone ducks and hides everytime a cold breeze comes through... you know... cause of shrinkage.
PvP for RP reasons... I love it though I don't do much of it. I can lose and I don't feel bad. Fact is I'm crap enough at it that losing doesn't matter to me. But I'm also good enough that A I'm not dead in 30 seconds and B I actually get the advantage every now and then. I just need to work on my finish.
I don't look for PvP outside of RP. If I'm flying around as my RepEx fighter then I see if I can chase down any Unioners or other pirates. I get a thrill and whats even better is I don't hate it when I lose. I feel like I'm learning something then.

Yes this is something that annoys me too. Hardly any fighters. Even more ironic is tracking you down in Texas after your post to find you flying a Gunship!
