The reason why you shouldn't dock at Manhattan is that the docking ring operator would just not give you landing permission if he saw your Corsair ID. And by the way, I don't really think that Corsairs have any business in New York at all... or do they?

The solution to you rep problem is to fix it! Bribe a junker, kill some policemen, you get the idea.

Of course he wouldn't - thats why, in RP terms, you would call it sneaking in - to me it makes more RP sense to be stopped from docking at Manhattan by an LSF player who is switched on and who catches me - and if no one does... then yay i beat the Feds and snuk in?
In terms of having no business in New York? why not? Artifacts are smuggled there... the pickings of traders in Brettonia and other systems might be thin - which means that a pirate wanting an income might have to venture further afield to find his plunder - there are any number of reasons why a Corsair might go that far.

haven't been able to find a Junker bribe yet at a base that doesn't want to kill me... and its irritating - most of the time i play with a pretty high ping - so when i pirate vessels, its usually not too hard for them to get away - so being able to smuggle things like artifacts, and taking the risk of running them to places like the New York system, are a nice way to supplement my income - that being said, im always quite guarded in that system (and New Berlin - when i get in there when there is no RM about...).

dunno - this is a tricky one

I don't really like the idea of sneaking in. I would like to hear some more opinions on weather this should be possible.

As to the Junker bribes, you said you are friendly with Liberty Police and Junkers can be found on many Liberty bases. I'm not sure if I can tell you exactly which bases offer Junker bribes... there are people out there who would prefer to discover it for themselves:). But there is more than one such lawful base in New York alone, and at least one more in the neighbouring systems.

If you really need to know, I can PM it to you.
