New one is much better. It slightly resembles a steam train but compared with the current model thats ok in my book.

Yep. Not a well-know Star Wars ship, but it is one, all the same. Much like the old Corsair Lunchbox.

My feeling is, though, if we replace the Spatial, we should keep the same basic shape. Very triangular. Actually, that would be my approach to all import-replacements, if I were to have much say in it. We've known these ships for years as they are portrayed in our mod, and while they do need to go, I feel they should at least resemble what they used to be.

A good example of this would be the CSF, previously the Turanic Raiders Freighter. The new version is similar, but clearly belongs in the Freelancer universe. It's a good approach to import-replacement.

And although this new OC cruiser doesn't entirely resemble the current one, I don't really care about it too much. Like I said, I don't want anything to do with cap-ships, so do whatever the hell you want with them.

' Wrote:There also there are still more Star Wars Imports like the Charon and the Vidar Cruiser [and i bet there are more]. But i guess Cam was talking about the last StarWars-BS-Import.

The Firefly is imported from some movie and somehow the X-Shuttle and the Waran Bomber seem awfully familliar...
Well, the Charon is from Battlestar Gallactica, but it's an import all the same. And yes, Vidar is Star Wars too, I'm pretty sure, and the Firefly is from the show of the same name.

But, believe it or not, the X-shuttle and the Waran are all original. Of course, the Waran is built to be "uglier than sin" anyway. The X-shuttle, however, doesn't have an excuse. It's all in the texturing.

Well, current OC dread and Hacker Spyclass were taken from mod for Homeworld 2 Warlords
Ranseur- Procurator cruiser- Kuat security warship. Spyclass-CIS Recusant class light capital ship.

The new model resembles a cross when viewed from the front. I believe weapon turret placements are an improvement over the old one in terms of firing arcs. It's hitbox will also be a lot tighter (yours truly saw to that). Overall, I think in terms of looks and effectiveness, the new dread is superior to the old one, and more in line with the looks of the Outcast capital fleet ships.

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.

X-shuttle is imported from the game X: Beyond the Frontier, it is the ship you fly in that game

Definitely the new model, mainly for its beastly looks.

Eh.. I like the new one. But uh. Wouldn't it have made a lot more sense if that was the new Sarissa instead?

Yeah, thats right, current Sarisa is good. Nothing should be changed there... But dread replacement really needed.
