Yeah, I agree with Titus. I actually didn't even look in this topic since Titus first posted. Couldn't even think that it could go that far.

I'm transferring this to Freelancer: Discovery forum not to confuse people.

Now my comment on the argument that takes place here.

1) Sending requests to players about leaving or avoiding home system or influence zone of any specific faction is allowed only in case of faction war. If player gets such request in any other situation, he/she can simply ignore it or report it to server administrators as server rules violation.

This rule comes into effect from tomorrow (February 3 2006).

2) Phantoms own no systems and cannot engage in 'official' wars, meaning they are technically allowed into any systems at any time.

In case of faction war requests to leave should not be ignored. Otherwise, they may be.

3) This server allows free PvP. If Dab or any other player wishes to attack anyone else, they may do so, there are very few restrictions.

4) Camping for other players near a base cannot be considered fair play. Staying on a base for excess long periods of time cannot be considered fair too (for example, for trader who is trying to avoid pirates instead of continuing the trade route, or staying inside system of a hostile faction during a war).

5) Chat abuse is a server rule violation on its own.

2Dab: if you want to keep someone out of AW systems, use your guns instead of chat. I hope that Phantoms can fight too. There's no law of yours that could prohibit them from entering Gamma or any other AW system, but there's no law that prohibits you from killing them. And them from killing you :)

BTW, when going to talk about something not related to the post, please create a new thread instead of going Off Topic. This is a "I AM BACK" topic. Not a rant about faction politics and ego.

k. I was almost unactive but the intense testing period at school has finished for this semester (only 1 more test tommorow at TIC - technology of informathics and communication . Bassically, i just have to know how to use Microsoft Word for tommorow crazy.gif wink.gif ) and i will be playing Freelancer again. All right. Did anybody miss me ? yahoo.gif .

That what I did. They brought it to the forums. I did use my guns and told him Iwould stop if he left he didn't so UI kept attacking him and kept telling people it WAS'T against the rules to guard my own systems.

Oh also I didn't camp AT ALL. Me and Damned kept respawning in Gamma, neither camped.

Err...... One question please.

what if the player Dab is attacking is doing a mission?

I meant it's hard enough to fight 5 BH BS's plus the swarm of BH VHF's let alone a player ship as well.

Plus it's gonna be annoying to have done a mission and then lose the BH pilots and any other cargo from that mission because you've been killed once you get near Tripoli or Crete by someone waiting for you.

The stuff you get from missions can be reobtained at anytime. So that shouldn't be a big deal.

Now, I agree that attacking a player while during a mission (too many attackers) or after (lack of NB/SB) would be cheap. There's nothing stopping it, but its still cheap. That's where communication is important. Let your attacker know "Hey, I'm doing a mission", "meet me at X when I'm done". If they have any honour they'll wait. If not, they shouldn't expect to have very many friends.

Right ppl......I too have been missing now for as long as titus since we both are playing the same games...anyway the topic subject is I AM BACK which means that he wanted to say he hasn't forgot about Discovery Freelancer and everyone starts arguing around....yeah this is what creates the tension around,this is what i missed all this time: I'm glad to be back too :P

BHs hate me too so it was fair. Now if you were doing a mission against someone that is green to me I usually wait until it is over.
