But I do think a slight change of rules would be fine. Such as the ability to use a cruiser when the transport is told to leave, but refused to. But you must give them the chance to leave.

so I was just returning to New York, and by the NY JG in Colorado, I meet a pirate pirating a transport.
The best part was when the transport told me: "You gon'a shoot me?"
Now how do I respond to that?

Buy Fafnir bomber/Shire Battle Transport... cheaper, legal and way way way more practical
This rule is the one I would most like to see changed, but I see the problem, it would be hard to balance it. The cruiser needs to be nerfed basically. The most logical move would be to reduce it's thrust speed, but atm that would weaken it against BSs too much. SO I propose increasing snub/freighter thrust speeds to say - 260, increasing gunboat/transport thrust speeds 200, and leaving cruiser/BS thrust speeds as they are.
This may require some weapon speed increases.
