It's funny how all of this could have been solved long ago with an FR5. I know the TAZ and OSI would put in the FR5. I wonder what is holding up the works.

FR5's are a myth among Zoners, especially Freeport Admins.

Here's how it works.

A freeport admin wants an FR5.

First, he gets on skype with a few folks.

Doc,

Daedric or Stygian,

And n00bl3t.

Doc wont say yes or no till the others do.

Daedric and Stygian will discuss it among themselves, usually with Gheis, and decide that by saying yay, they will get OSI involved in something that has nothing to do with them - they will say no.

Then it wont matter what Doc says.

And n00bl3t will say yes, but five days late.

Now that n00bl3t's gone, I imagine it becomes a deliberation among Jinx, Moebus, Lou, and Keek.

Either way - no FR5 will ever go through.

In the NPC factions that have more then one Official Faction - like the Corsairs - all three factions have the same over-arching agenda, and thus, work together very nicely.

OSI is a Corporate Enterprise

TAZ is a Religious Order

Omicroners are...the Omicroners.

Neither has the anywhere near the same agenda, goals, or diplomacy. Each one is as different as the sun from the moon.

And then there are the Freeports - with absolutely no say in whatever happens with there NPC faction - only a rather impotent control over there own diplomacy, and no control over who decides to use there stations.

There is no Zoner - Corsair. There isn't even a Corsair - Omnicroners war since no shots have been fired yet. There are some Corsair - Omnicroners tensions, nothing more (yet).

TAZ controls Baffin, which is essentially a Freeport System.
Omicroners control Omicron 74, thier fortress of Solitude.

OSI have Freeport 14 iirc.

Also, Vito - there's a thread in the Comm board telling loyal corsairs to shoot zoners on sight, and plenty of folks in it more then happy to do so...

That's TBH's problem. The Council of Elders does not endorse those actions so at most you can talk about a TBH - Zoner war
