If your looking for an SMG use an MP5 then. Reasonable accuracy (for an SMG), reasonable fire rate and uses your basic 9mm rounds.

Besides. If we have access to "the worlds armoury" like the original post said, I think its a fair assumption that theres a crap load of ammo in there too.

And yes I'll stick with my XM8 & M320 Buckshot combo thanks.

I'll move to a small island with water supply and local plantlife and live on fine.

Since I have all the worlds armory with me and considering that we have the knowledge to use it, I will have these around my island in case of emergency.

http://www.kewlwallpapers.com/images/wallp...ton-168600.jpeg

it probably has guns, bullets, grenades, planes, helicopters, entertainment, powersupply etc to feed the needs. If fish are ok to eat, I may even live on one and ditch the island except for holidays.

Well my point blank weapon would have to be a Katana, I actually know how to use one and cut a head in two top to bottom, its relatively light compared to other medieval weapons and very durable, if I'm not careful a bit of blood may fly but that's the same with most non scifi weapons.

My choice of firearm depends on the range of engagement and availability of ammo. If ammo is hard to find I'd go with a 22. hunting rifle. some may find that this is too low of caliber but I would bet on it being able to put a small hole in a zombies skull at at least 50 yards (most recent distance I've fired a 22. at). If it can get to the brain should be a kill, and 22. ammo is both very common and very light.

Now assuming ammo isn't a problem I'd probably get something from the AK family for durability reasons with a suppressor so that I don't call every zombie from 2 miles around with a single shot(instead it only be from 1 mile around oh joy).

Be quick,
Be efficient,
Be powerful,
The correct way to pirate

you're gonna boink the zombie nation to death? gross.

melee weapons dont have much range, but they run on muscle power. Weapon of choice in this category is a viking war axe, as it is designed to chop down lightly armed villagers rushing at you to defend their cattle and women, much in the same way as zombies crowd around at the mobile dinner table.

for the ranged category, the simple AK 47. its light, is durable, the ammo is available all over the world, and its so simple to use it takes a 6 year old ten minutes to figure it out, and its durable. you can bury them in a swamp of toxic waste, pull them out six years later insert a magazine and start firing immediately. they arent as accurate as the gas-recoil rifles of heckler and koch, but they need a hell of a lot less cleaning: HK guns need an hours cleaning for two hours firing.
Ammo: as the zombie nation are not signatories to the geneva convention on warfare, it means we are able to ignore the full metal jacketed rounds, and go for hollow-points, aka dumdums, which open up inside the target, creating an exit wound that a watermelon wouldn't touch the sides of.

for the side arm category, the glock-17 MkIII. the housing is made out of plastic, making it very light, its perfectly balanced, and there are very few buttons and levers on the sides to catch on your clothes, making it a quick, smooth draw. the unique design of the safety catch means that you can conceal this weapon and not worry about it shooting off Chi's favourite weapon to combat the zombie apocalypse.
Ammo: these are an expensive choice but the effect is worth it: oil filled rounds with ball bearings inside. like the dumdum rounds, these open up a huge exit wound, but due to the random and stochstic movement of the ball bearings, they literally make the target's head explode in the same way as a shotgun, but with significantly more range.

of course, you should always save the last round for yourself, as cutting off your own head with your axe is inconveniently clumsy.

edit: you dont need to worry about noise: zombies can smell you.
