Nah, because everyone shortens everyone's name because the world is stupidly lazy he'll just get called "Lok" and that'll be his name.

Let's examine only a handful of the possible nicknames the future has in store for this unsuspecting lad
& let's do it alphabetically:

If he becomes a vegetarian- Loki Artichokie (also applicable sans the 'arti' if he becomes a chronic masturbater)
If he dies young- Loki Croakie
If he becomes overly sentimental- Hokey Loki
If he's a class clown- Jokey Loki
If tone deaf- No-Key Loki
If ginger- Opie Loki
If unswift of mind or body- Pokey Loki
If a stoner- Loki Tokey (or Smokey Loki)

If i sanction him for F1'ing, I'll call him Cloaky Loki. Of course, Freelancer would have to still be around by then.

"Nomen est omen" is the only argument I'd have against the name. If the parents are ok with that, then that's fine.

Debating if "Loki" is a suitable name for a child and will not result him in getting bullied in school for having a funny name and make him grow to hate everyone and become a real evil dude like the real Loki that is hell bent on world domination in order for vengeance against those who have wronged him?

I say no, Athena is fine but Loki's a bit off. Try "Locke Taylor" if you want to go along those lines.

Singapore has a "Batman Supraman". lul.

...and Zynth,
stop saying 'lul' k?.

As for the name, it wouldn't be my pick.
However having a unusual name doesn't always mean you will get bullied for it.

Having the same name as a norse god is pretty damn cool, in my opinion. He can just smite the bullies.

And what's with "he's born and raised british"? I like it when people have names that differ from the national norm. Does that mean you think everyone in Scandinavia is named Odin or Thor?
