I remember quite clearly you taking some credit for that battleship.

Something about it being the reason the Rogues got good gear, so you guys 'whacked' it in there with no role play story behind it.

As someone who knows what it is like to run a faction, I enjoy the challenges that ID restrictions have in place, allows people to think outside the box, but with in certain parameters. I haven't asked for either of the ID's to be changed, except with one minor modification that was over looked regarding shooting a role play target group. We stick to our ID, and work on our lore as best we can with what we have got.

We don't ask to change the game to our benefit, we change our benefits to match the game.

Actually, my RP was with the LSF, by tipping them off Rheinland patrols (Ask Wolffe) and the Order and Corsairs at the time. They were the ones providing us with the technology to build the barghest in the first place.


But anyway, see what you say is completely true and I will not deny it. It is a fun challenge to keep the limitations. But you, as in, the LR, use your whole ID. You Pirate. Smuggle. Shoot and mingle with allies.
However, the JZ, instead of taking all of the Zoner ID RP such as nomad battles, order alliance and others, we focus on one very specific roleplay and one specific game gimmic. Trading and jump drives. As such, we already have limited ourselves to provoke only RP related to those two. A.I setting up bases, jumping individuals and, obviously, making huge amounts of money.

That is the difference.

Jumpdrives are going to be heavily nerfed soon, so you should think carefully before shooting yourself in the foot.

If they get nerfed, the JZ will be disbanded anyway.

I think they've already been nerfed, getting jumped ~40k above the plane seems to be it, if thats not it. I'd hate to see what is...

Thats more of a pre-caution to allow space between existing ships in plane so they dont go on a collision course after jumping.

Nerfing is more of a path to dis-courage trading with it. I think we should do it.

The potential to appear in the centre of a sun is discouragement enough I would say.
The new "randomness" of the jumpdrives adds significant extra time (due to having to cruise huge distances) and danger that otherwise didnt exist in Jumptrading... Any more "nerfing" would essentially turn it into the Barge. (expensive and useless)

I think it will be nerfed since jumpdrives allow them to jump to enemy systems.

Incidentally, that was the point of the jumpdrive in the first place.
