For the record, it is definitely an import, and it's older than vanilla Freelancer too. It's the starting ship from "X: Beyond the Frontier".

What I mean is that I have fixed the engine of the ship. That is, that the ship uses. The effect for the engine.

A while back I started to play Liberty Transport. But that ship has no effects for cruising or charging or anything. It only has the engine effect which is buggy when you go through a jumpgate, it just disappears. Needless to say this is annoying and especially in the case of a trading ship because you're just flying around.

I looked into and determined it was due to the fact that the effects were never completed as these ships aren't meant to be flown by the player. Well I know the transport is a discovery ship but the engine is the gunboat.

So I fixed the engine and completed it. I posted this in the bugs thread weeks ago. a while ago anyway. then I played a bounty hunter ship and the effects were wrong there too so I have begun to fix it.

I was asking because as you have stopped submission of assets for one part I wanted to know if that applied to other parts as well as the engines are to do with the ships. For example you were not taking anything to do with ships now because the infocard guys have to write the infocards and balance has to be done on it and such. I was just checking to see how broad it is. the bounty hunter one still needs work.

and also I see a lot of hate on the x-shuttle. personally I don't hate the x-shuttle half as much as a lot of people. you can tell it's a bit different, but I actually liked it and thought it was a good ship. the reason mainly it represents a style not found very much elsewhere. It's really the only "millenium falcon" type freighter I have encountered so far. the rest look more like a transport truck. not knocking them. I like original freelancer ships as well as the added ones, but I did appreciate the x-shuttle's more generic styling rather than looking like a drivetrain and a cargo compartment. not making a case for it not to be replaced though don't get me wrong. the "engine" textures on it aren't really that great though.

so I recently started exploring Omega-55. LOL... NOMADS. LOTS AND LOTS OF NOMADS. SHOOTING THINGS. I GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE. (and I was thinking, jeez I can't remember what that one was from the news. I hope I don't run into a nomad system)
recently started exploring Omega-41. what did you guys do to the star? that new effect there, that's impressive.

X-Shuttle while concept is not bad, and even lore-friendly plausible have terrible texture.

To remain in mod it should have get total remodel and decent texture but I dont see anyone rushing to do that.

X-Shuttle looks like shf version of zoner gb to me. Give it that texture job and some real engines, it would be good to go

It'd have to be a complete retexture on the X-Shuttle, not a texture replacement. This one, and a few others, use a single wraparound texture that encompasses the entire model.

You forgot the Zoner Whale. Apparently it got remodeled and replaced because it looked too much like a certain SW Destroyer, but the model it got replaced with looks exactly like that certain SW Destroyer from the top. So, it's not "genuinely Disco" either, and on top of that, the old model looked way better.

And since Hathor's back to its 4.85 model, maybe we can undo another mistake and revert the Whale back to its old model as well until someone comes up with a proper remodel for it?

i am not aware of any sw ( if that means star wars anyway ) destroyer looking like the zoner whale. - maybe you can provide an image that looks like it?

I don't know about the zoner whale looking like a destroyer from Star Wars but the GMG Kujira is definitely a rebel transport.
