No objections from me for 2400GMT.
I'm all for caps, 2dd 2gb + few fighters would be good, or
1dd 1gb + few fighters for smaller battles.

Yeah...last time we brought caps, my gunboat became a SN magnet and died in about 30 secs, then the dessie bought it...then it dissolved into a fighter brawl...

Bombers limited to 0 or 1, possibly. This should avoid that.

The best way to use caps is to agree to the 2 phase battle like before:

Phase 1 : Caps engage Caps, Fighters and Bombers fight each other

Phase 2 : Free for all (Usually after Cap battle over or nearly over)

Made for an epic movie...

We should do that again, it was fun.

I say 2 dessies each team next time, then the 4 caps fight, and the fighters and bombers fight each other.

Reward for team that wins the cap fight is that they get to use their caps on enemy then

But the downside is that then the winning caps become bomber magnets, and weakened, they would likely die fast.

Even a few fighters with Razors could finish em.

Anyway, 2 phase battle again next week, and 1 hour later?

Problem is that if you have only 1 cap.. even if it wins it gets swarmed by the fighters/bombers in the end.

That's why I suggested as many caps as fighters/bombers.

GBs don't really cost that much so shouldn't be problem with some 3gbs + 1 dessie on each side, with 2-3 fighters as escorts.

How about similar to an NPC patrol?

One destroyer, two gunboats, two fighters?

Only thing to consider is, that if you roll out too many caps, it becomes a cap v cap engagement, and all the poor fighters can do is to sit around getting blown up, unless they all come in bombers, which kinda defeats the object, 'coz the caps go poof again...tough balancing act here.

depending on the numbers yes.. but something along those lines.

2 Bombers or 1 bomber +2-3 VHFs on either side can right now blast any caps and both our bombers are kind of broken... .
