If you are a trader and you get stopped in Sigma 13 or anyother hot spot, and you intend to RP or pay. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Say something fast and indicative of comeing RP. I find many folk will just stop and be quite then as I exspect they are going to say something I wait. Then they vanish and that sucks. I dont capture this to often as I am not very handy with the screen shot button and I exspect the best out of most folk.
So, just so you know I start fireing about 10 seconds after stopping you. If you say nothing I dont stop. OPEN your blasted comm channel unless you want your hull opened. I have been called all manner of things for pirateing by the book.
Plus I'm not going to let a pirateing deal take longer than 2 minutes if there is no comm. There are BHGers out there eager for my parts and I am aware of it.
Traders if your caught and want RP you better start RPing FAST, or get treated like a power trader.
Maybe if the BHG had a script they had to say like pirates MUST make a demand before useing lethal force, the BHG must state the contract or faction order to terminate a target.
Like: By order of high command you are to be terminated on sight.
as opposed to: This unit requires 2 million resource credits.
Something. Anyway, we just need to figure how to get the non english speaking Russians on board.
Any English speaking Russians out there? We could use you, and you may be able to help us all.
Pretty good point there ScornStar, there's no way to know if a trader will even utter out any words... so try to open up fast by halting your engines and saying something ...aaaaah.... or "Help!" something that indicates life in your comm.... Or run and scream as you go, saying stuff like "You will never get me filthy pirate!"

I posted how to say "Speak English in system only" and "I want 10 million or you die" in Russian on the other thread about languages.

From there we better figure whats going to work best. Right now if we gave you the magic wand, we would get a knee jerk reaction which would not benefit everyone.
Maybe pirates need a buff to match lawful might. I have been advocateing that pirates should have more freedoms as Lawfuls have more now. I really dont like the idea of nerfing anyone but buffing the pirates I'm all about.
What if Lawfuls could only enforce the law in gunboats and below and had to reaserve thier criusers and up as purely war machines?
After all pirates can only break the law in gunboats and below so is it not fair play. I mean the rational that pirates dont pirate in criusers cause its too expensive is as silly/valid as saying law enforcement is too exspensive to be done with criusers and up. After all wouldnt the tax payers be more up tight than a single pirate captain whose god of his ship as opposed to a lawful who must answer to congress the senate and the tax payer?
There are no BHG NPCs in Sigma 13 so doesn't that mean there should only be limited player presence unless specifically contracted to be there?
Magic wand is not what I want ... but Bounty Hunters in battle cruisers while Mercenaries are in gunboats is a bit off. Lets seriously think about this ... Mercenaries participate in wars ... Bounty Hunters are an extension of the police. But I really would not care if the hunters kept their big ships if they didn't abuse this.
Rogues, Mollys, Outcasts, Corsairs, etc are allowed to have battleships ... they just cannot pirate in them. The Pirate ID specifically limits the pirate to a gunboat for this very reason. What I propose is that a Bounty Hunter can have his battle cruiser ... BUT ... he cannot hunt pirates in them. He can only hunt other like sized vessels ... like those Rogues, Molly's, Outcasts and Corsairs ... oh ... and those Order that are in their battleships, cruisers, destroyers and Osiris.

I see a talk about BHG capwhores, I spoke with my fellow agents: we all work in house sytems with VHF's and bombers, I have been on for 2 months with only seing one incident of BHG cap ships in the House systems, I believe only one other member has seen a BHG cap ship once in the house sytems.
These "cap whores" seem to be outside of the system or they were something from the past that stil hasn't been let go.
If you see a BHG Cap ship out in the edge systems; run don't whine, BHG cap ships should be out there not in here, if you are out there - take it like a champ, it is where they belong.
If it is an issue you have with BHG because of somthing that happened two month ago....take it somwhere else.
Ah ... I understand ... you want to see where the problem children are ... venture outside the house systems.

I'm more of a Chaotic Good (this is the Robin Hood type for you lay people to D&D ... William Wallace would also fall into this category). These folk were on the wrong side of the law but on the right side of morality.
I'm glad you brought this up Rudo ... here's how I see all these abusive Bounty Hunters. Those like the one's I've displayed in this post fall under the Lawful Evil category. These are those on the right side of the law but on the wrong side of morality. If you've ever seen the movie Patriot with Mel Gibson ... take note of the Lawful Evil character portrayed by that British Colonel who led his troops to murder innocent civilians and justified it by saying they were supporting the rebellion.

I've spoted a predictable patern:
Pirate a power trader, out comes the reengaging powerwhore. As the ship commander often speaks russian and very little to no english, no words but an engagement is eminent.... Then most of the times I destroy the fiend with my gunboat... and pop the route goes down... Then come outcasts hunting me in oorp fashion, then come the bountyhunters, then the traders start thretening with their cruisers, then they buy battleships, and switch to BH Gunships...
Now I wouldn't be pirating in sigma 13, if I didn't make damn good money...
Anyhow, If only one could be bothered to write all those reengagement reports, and find out who's who...
Fourth ... Bounty Hunters are an abusive PVP whoring group as a whole. You wanna get them in line ... please do ... I'd like to see the Bounty Hunter ID limit them to gunboats.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Thank you sir i needed a good laugh,
I have a few bounty hunter chars, and shock horror! I dont pilot cap ships.
how could this be?
Is it possible not all Bounty hunters are PVP whores?
Alright If you want to put the same ugly label on everyone with a certain id this is fair.....
All junkers are only junkers because they want to be as neutral as they can be with everyone becuase they are the suck at combat, and therefore avoid it at all costs.
how does it feel?
Enjoying that humble pie?
Dont Categorize an entire group of players just because you had a bad experience with some bad eggs.
When I was trading there were many times a junker or whomever would ambush me straight out of the gate no words nothing just them shooting me for no apparent reason, Did I have a hissy fit and flame the entire pirate community?
No
wanna kno why?
Becuase it is just a game
nothing of any real importance, just a nice well made distraction from everyday life.
Now dry those tears... Man up and GET OVER IT
Apologies for the harsh tone but I will not sit idly by while someone slams all bountyhunters and therefore myself.

Welcome to the discussion ... and while not all are PVP whores ... most I've encountered have demonstrated this quality. If you are one of those BH characters that hangs out inside house systems ... then you're missing what I'm talking about. Please do not ignore or dismiss the point I'm trying to make here because of some "technicality." Remove your eyes from the trees ... look at the forest.

Yet another person hijacking the thread and attempting to change its direction. Please address the issue. Specifically those bounty hunters that are whoring out there.

Its not about feelings sir ... its about Bounty Hunters Going Wild. When you let folks get away with this stuff ... do not complain when a pirate hangs out less than 1k from Manhattan's docking ring. Trust me ... there's about 10 anti-pirate threads to every 1 anti-bounty hunter thread.
And for Pete's sake ... this thread has nothing to do with Junkers ... the example just HAPPENS to be near a Junker base. I could easily have snapped pictures of this happening at any other unlawful base.

You mean like traders generalizing pirates? Yup ... this thread partly was created because I'm sick of all the anti-pirate threads and sick of seeing lawful capships parked outside unlawful bases. Note the hypocrisy? Take a look at the forest once more.

Actually ... its a ROLE PLAY server. You may note have anything invested here ... but most of us enjoy role play. Oh ... do you participate in intramural sports? Ever get upset when the ref constantly misses penalties by the other side but seems to see everything your team does? There's a reason for rules ... they make the game ENJOYABLE by all ... not just the bullies.

Mofo Bounty Hunters, stop shooting Junkers. If the fellow isn't in the act of breaking the Queen's law, he's not a target. Learn these things.
Mofo Pirates, stop wanking about the bounty hunters showing up in heavy rigs. You fellows are more than pleased to skulk about in fleets of gunboats opening up traders at two million credits a pop. Sometimes S happens. I don't like a BHBC showing up when I'm on my lonesome, but that's how it rolls. I also don't like being pirated by three gunboats and two bombers, but that's how it rolls.
Mofo Bounty Hunters again, you're not a trader revenge faction. Stop logging in your BHBC with aims of going to pwn everyone in sight to clear your preferred credit grinding trade route.
Mofo everyone, camping causes bad things to happen. Don't camp your enemies base, don't camp the jump hole, don't be content to sit still grinding out the traders or waiting on the baddens. This shows that you are a chef content with brewing the weakest of sauce.
Well one of my chars im using to chart the entire disco universe for future referance so yea i dont hang around house systems that often.
Secondly I do roleplay where appropriate infact that is why i joined up.
Thirdly I have never seen what a bhg cap ship looks like i literally have not seen them on my travels so this suggests to me tht the problem is not as bad as people make it out to be.
Fourthly I am on the server most days And on the forums almost every 2 hours just to have a read of whats been goin on etc etc, so i am no stranger to the Anti pirate threads.
But this isnt about that The reason I took offense was because of the general idea being bounced around that all bhg are pvp whores.
