omg here we go again.
No, I never DDosed, hacked, cheated, nor did I ever attempt to do so because I never saw a point in doing any of it.
Hawk Wrote:I'm almost tempted to agree with you. However, anyone that smart could come back here and play it cool, being careful enough not to reveal himself. Since I, and most other admins just can't be bothered to hunt people who aren't causing problems he'd probably get away with it. It's a shame really, because he could probably come to really enjoy the game again. Oh well.
Aaand another one of the strange myths people are spinning, like me dosattacking and hacking and cheating and being a no-life wannabe-antiauthoritan-lefty and wasting more time on this game and forumposts than the people creating these myths.
Its not that I cant come back without "reveiling myself", its that I dont want to. I enjoy speaking my mind much more than I enjoy going along with the extreme hypocricy and stupidity that some of the resident egomaniac olgarchs are force-feeding to people who play here.

Yeah right, as if I ever cared if what I said was popular or "hot" at the time are not.
One connection between you, Alley, and Dusty Lens would be that the 3 of you could engage in piss-poor behavior towards others and get away with it, because it was "hot" with the people who decide who gets sanctioned and who not at the time. You 3 also got a bit too used to it too, and should have considered that it may one day come back at you and bite you in the ass.
Zelot Wrote:Karlotta is right about some things. The problem is he wants this big earth shattering statement of his rightness every time he is right.
The problem is not with me, the problem is that in disco its an earth shattering statement to say that certain people are wrong on something. If it shatters someone's world/ego that someone else was right and they were wrong, the problem was not generated by the person who was right. The problem is with the person who can't admit he was wrong.
Zelot Wrote:It is not enough for a problem to be fixed, for Karlotta to be satisfied the past must be changed, and that is an impossibility, but that is what he is looking for.
Lol. Do you listen to yourself sometimes?
I dont want the past to be changed, it would just be nice if some people could stop misrepresenting it. I never got an apology from anyone for anything, no effort was every made to set things right from anybody else, I still get banned when I dont break rules. So why exactly should I do them the favor of not mentioning things they did when its relevant to the topic?
Zelot Wrote:He sees himself as a crusader for justice in discoland, but doesn't understand that most of the things he is crusading for justice about have already for the most part been addressed and taken care of by the staff.
Is it perfect? No. But continuing to bring up how Virus did something wrong when he was an admin, what like 4 years ago, doesn't prove that the problem exists now. Another good example is his fixation on Joe. Joe hasn't been an admin in what, like 3 years? It doesn't really matter anymore what Joe did, didn't, is claimed to have done or claimed to have not done during his time as admin, it is irrelevant now, but Karlotta can't seem to let it go.
You're refering to my post in the thread that asked people to describe 4.85? If you read carefuly you'd see that I never tried to prove that admins are cheating now, and even say that the admin team now is better than it was 4 years ago. The other times I mentioned said things, I was mostly answering to the question why I was banned, because they where some of the reasons why I lost all respect for the admin team back then. Next myth... fixation with Joe. He's just the one of those that's still around, and one of those that shouts "hi Karlotta" to make sure I'm always as banned as possible. And one of those for whom it's apparently "earth shattering" to be wrong due to his bimodal "either good person or bad person" thinking that you see in many of his posts. You may as well say I got a fixation on Treewyrm and only play to call his nomad lore crap. In both cases, I couldnt really care less about both people and dont particularly enjoy "shattering their world", but controntation with them was or still is pretty unavoidable because of the influence and effect they had and have on server gameplay, through their own choice (Treewyrm concerning nomad RP, Joe concerning anything LN PvP, admining, and banning).
Zelot Wrote:He doesn't know when to quit on a topic, he doesn't know how to accept when he has lost at something. Yes, sometimes we are right about something and we still lose the argument, that is how life goes, it is something most people in the world have learned to accept, Karlotta has not.
I dunno Zelot, when someone knows that he was wrong and still doesnt give in, isnt that person the one who doesnt know how to accept it?
Its one thing to accept that you can't get someone to admit they were wrong, but another thing to say you agree with them even when you know they are wrong. Me, I'm happy as long as I can still say what I think and what I know, and I accept that other people say what they think and what they know. What makes me unhappy is when people sensor and ban me, because they were unable to accept that people would see that they were wrong.
Remember my post you invisibled when you were moderator, because it showed that your little faitytale analogy about children dressing up in costumes in your kindergarten class and being so equal and happy was not a very accurate description of discovery, and I made a much more accurate analogy? And when I pmed you saying that it was pretty pathetic of you to invisible that post, and you were unable to admit that you invised it cause it showed how wrong you actually were? For me, both are examples of why its rather you that cant accept some things.
Zelot Wrote:It is why even if given a clean slate and unbanned from disco, he would be rebanned within a few weeks. It is a repetitive behavior that he can't seem to break himself of. I would assume it follows him in real life too. I would imagine he is some kind of politically left social activist, or at least that is what he wishes he were, fighting the man wherever he can be found, no matter how simple, daunting, serious or absurd the situation might be.
It's funny how you, and other people here, always throw out the wildest assumptions about me, trying to create some fictional image that explains and suggests that everything I do and say is caused by anything except the things in discovery that I'm actually talking about.
No, I'm not a political activist, never was, never wanted to be one. In my personal or professional surroundings, I'm not fighting with people all the time either, so its not "following me in real life". Not even in other gaming communities, like the PS2 outfits Im part of. I have the reputation for being quite friendly and to-the-point I think. Even on the server, I get along fine with almost everyone, especially new people. Only when one of the official l33t supervets shows up and tells eveyone including me what we can do and cant do according to him, and I dare to not live up to his whims, thats when things go sour.
It was kind of the same in other discovery RP communities though, although a lot of it was coming from people who took the behavior they learned on discoverygc to there. I think its kind of a "roleplay" community personality thing. You know when you look at actors giving interviews, many are awkward and goofy and shy and not self confident at all, and a lot are total assholes? I read somewhere that people with personality issues enjoy pretending they are someone else, and therefore often become actors. I think the same is probably true for role playing communities, and the people who spend most of their time in them. Lots of personality issues everywhere. Thats why disco is like this.
