Although I am adverse to the thought of a bunch of Racers that seemingly, even though you try to deny it, like to push at times that they're representive of Freelancers and all the other mumbo jumbo that rides on the AFC hate train, I think it's quite good that you employ genuine effort into creating all these events and ensuring that other people and factions alike can enjoy fun gameplay and activity. It's something that AFC actually does well, and to be fair it's something other factions don't really do that much.

It's definitely something you should be praised for more.

Now that was some good fun. Very cool racing event. Congrats to Julia for winning!

THE IMBALANCE OF POWER is a construct of THE MIND systemic to the reactions between the subjects of the system. POWER is given by those who acknowledge such power. REFUSAL to acknowledge power removes that power for THE REBEL; however, it produces anomalies in interactions throughout the system. These ANOMOLIES cause the UNPREDICTABLE nature of the system that all users CRAVE.

I'm really curious about how this base siege aligns with your faction's roleplay and diplomacy, as listed here (excuse the formatting):

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I'm seeing here is {AFC} allying with a faction they're unfriendly with, in order to attack the base with an IFF they're friendly with. In what world does this make any sort of sense? Apart from that, bringing the Order in to Kepler to siege a base is beyond ridiculous. This needs a very solid inRP explanation to cover something blatantly ignoring your written diplomacy.

Before your post, @Ichiru , I have to admit i completely forgot 2 things:

1) declaring changes to faction diplo on that thread that the admins made (which i have to find now pain-painstakingly to fix this)
2) our reputation being changed to the new one with BD while the old one was way different.

Let me explain how this all makes sense:

Prior to that list of rep, AFC and BD were set to 'friendly' . Why? We had a good alliance and positive RP flowing with them. This changed when they changed their leadership and stated they wanted to revert their contract with us that we did for them by demanding us to give them back their ships that they had prized us with. In addition, they did not like us entering into Chugoku as well. With all this happening, when it was time to make a new statement of affiliations, I had placed BD into the no-dock section becasue they were acting more unfriendly to us. It was simply a reaction to their faction leader change and how they went about treating us. The 'unfriendly-nodock' was a reaction to that. (dont let the color fool you either).

Fast forward some time later the BD's leadership had changed again and we had gotten this message here:
http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=140303

Note that i had completely followed my diplo up to that point. I was acting sceptical but agreed to being on better terms with them. It was, again, their call as to how they would be treating us and we had basically reverted to a more positive state. Additionally you can find @Shizune 's character in our bar. How can that character get there if we are unfriendly? Simple. We had changed our diplomacy.

It is my fault, I admit, that I had forgotten to do the updates. You can see the time yourself and link everything together. All the information is posted of the diplo. Both old and 'new' .

Next is that we were attacking a base be were friendly with? No. And this is becasue 2 reasons:
1 - IC IFF we are not friendly with . Rather we are neutral. Our faction has reputation with others based on our interactions with them. We never really got to RPing with IC.
2 - That base was in AFC territory. Additionally the guy had stated like... 3 times to us that he is claiming Kepler right in our face. That's pretty much, if you look into how we operate, insulting us.

So no. We were not friendly with that base.
Additionally to point it out, freelancers in general we are friendly with at first sight but how many times are then they unfriendly to us back and then shooting us. Quite a bit. Freelancer as an IFF and ID is unstable. I should probably even update that diplo to neutral position but what is stopping me from doing that is that we have a rep-hack to be +9/+10 or whatever it is. In short I had to find a section for it and decided logically that since at first sight we are good with freelancers then ill put it there.

The order was not my call to bring and it was a snub. Probably they were just following BD around or something. Go ask BD about the order or just ask order themselves for an explanation. Order or not, i believe they later moved that ship off. So no a snub cannot seige a base..... There was no cap order ships involved.

In short to summarize, you are right to post and i thank you, but as you can see in the technical side of things we are pretty much covered. It was just a forgot post in the changing of diplo that resulted from this question. I hope this explains your question.
Now if you will excuse me, i have to find that thread.

The race war finals were great!
Well-organised, well-executed, interesting system and tense racing with great roleplay attached.
Looking forward to the party thread and the linked Skype rp!

Keep doing events, Nomnom!
They are great.

Since you want people to post feedback here instead:

(10-06-2016, 08:27 PM)Arioch Wrote: Honestly it is very sketchy as Auzari said to make an event in hostile territory, expect those hostiles to not react/act, and demand an FR4. If you have an enemy, you can't very well go into his house, turn on his TV to watch your favorite show, and expect no consequences/repercussions, or an attempt to remove you from the house.

What would have been believable/more acceptable would be to make an event KNOWING it's in hostile territory, work with the faction leaders to set up a race that would not only have to follow the course, but also dodge enemy fire. Makes the stakes that much more higher, gets involvement from your enemies as well (Considering it's in their system), and avoids the 'We do what we want, regardless of if it's in an enemy's system, and we've demanding FR4 so we can't be touched."

The amount of posts John made asking people to stop posting could've been better spent writing a quick, concise reason to the concerns brought forth. I really am not interested in "Well someone threatened to sanction me!" or accusing people of trolling. I don't care. I do though care about the above, and why a faction would host an event in an enemy system, without (unless you have an I am wrong in this) working with said faction(s), and then demanding an FR4 for the event.

Please explain to me the thought process behind this, if you could, so everyone raising eyebrows can hopefully be provided an explanation.

Thanks -

Then what is the point of telling people to post here? Are you actually going to tell 'what is really going on'?

Sticking your snout up and going 'nope' isn't really a nice answer. Instead of leaving people in the dark, perhaps you could enlighten us what exactly is the issue concerning the FR4 usage.
