(11-25-2014, 01:13 PM)Bojangles Wrote: You are correct, sir. My mistake. I meant they would voluntarily refrain from unlawful bounties on characters not designated as 1%ers, not that those bounties were not available to the ID.

Otherwise, a few screenshots of members committing crimes will get the whole club fr5ed and/or the idea of the 1%er goes out the window for fear of it.

I definitely phrased the one part poorly, but what about the idea mechanically? I think those that prefer or end up on the seedier side would get the freedom to be bad, while keeping the legal side available to race and trade without hindrance.

The ID would have bad rep with lawfuls, so maybe it could work out as a way to appease law enforcement. Say a member gets in trouble smuggling and doing unlawful bounties, you don't deny he's in the club because with his colors you can't. Instead, you say publicly to the cops "He must be one of that 1%er gang. We don't support illegal activity, we're a racing club." and they get their 1%er ID that applies the necessary diplomacy adjustments.

Then it would also occur more naturally. Rather than deciding to be a 1%er by completing a task, it could come as a natural reaction to law enforcement pressure. That way, the distinction is earned by a proven track record rather than one single moment.

well... not entirely.
we had a discussion before about this...

FR5ing usually results only when the guy being FR5ed is not allowing any other option. A whole faction being FR5ed is quite big of an issue.

So basically: If you RP back and pay a fine or whatever it is... then it should be ok. FR5ing anyway that i stated before just breaks activity and fun scenarios. Its more annoying situations that get FR5ed.
A faction cannot have 2 IDs. That's the issue. Making to individual factions also is just a pain... and doesnt seem right to do. There are other ways around this ofc.

Edit: also no... you dont become a 1%er by completing a task. It comes naturally on its own.

I still wana keep the FL ID feel to it. What you do with your rep is your fault in essence.

Right so here are some links added to forum RP:

To: DHC | From: {AFC}-
RACE-WARS || SEASON 2 / ROUND 1 || To Indy Junkers, .:j:., FL, Invited + Kusari Cops
{AFC}- ||| Internal Bi-weekly Club Events | inRP | FO | All High Encryption
To: [M] ||| From: {AFC}-
From: AFC || To: [Star]

These will be added to the collective list

Added/changed rep-sheet for UC, ALG, [Star]

Update on rep with Gallia has turned to neutral/unfriendly. Hostile if they were to invade Coronado or anything else that AFC claim theirs. AFC has gained some interest in UC and has started some RP with them in game. Nox has also been exported from Gallia to New Berlin (see message dumps soon) as well as human organs from Ecommy base.

The faction has started/starting some Roleplay SRP for a potential revival of the Starflie to take as their own. For this to happen there would need to be our own ID:

Onto the ID proposal:

Quote: Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a member of the AFC who:

Can attack any ship in self-defense or defense of own base or to protect an allied or neutral ship.
Can fulfill any bounty, pirate, commodity confiscation and escort contracts, and may treat transports as combat targets when executing a bounty or escort contract against them.
Can pirate in chapter claimed turf. (AKA: Bering, Coronado, Kepler).
Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats.

NOTE: I would have to figure out how to include VIPs into it. Or maybe might not be necessary? Dunno.
Something like: May demand VIPs and shoot if not complied to.

I am also thinking to add something along the lines of: May protect turf claimed areas from hostiles and treat the attackers as combat targets freely.
My wording is off but im moving to have allowed a turf war to be possible without the need of being supported by bounties.

let me know what you think, please

Perhaps the use of the word 'sector' in place of 'turf'? Otherwise it looks way good to me.

Edited/Fixed some rep things a little to make it more clear.

Editing once again:

Quote:Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a member of the AFC who:

*-Can attack any ship in self-defense or defense of own base or to protect an allied or neutral ship.
*-Can fulfill any bounty, pirate, commodity confiscation and escort contracts, and may treat transports as combat targets when executing a bounty or escort contract against them.
*-Can pirate in Independant systems claimed by the Club (Bering, Coronado, Kepler)
*-May protect turf claimed areas from hostiles and treat the attackers as combat targets freely. (this is different from the first as it covers instances of possible turf war taking place)
*-Police may stop ships carrying this ID for speeding/illegal racing/illegal betting as well as any other laws put in place. (not needed?)
*-Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats.

Congratulations, your faction has met the standards needed to qualify for Officialdom. Credits will be refunded once you provide a ship name. Post here for relevant faction threads to be moved to your Official Faction subforum.

Wasn't it against the rules for the longest time to have an official faction for a generic ID?

They'll get their own ID, I'd imagine.
