That really is a problem. That's why I already asked about considering this... Either use a thruster or replace that with an armor.

Well, it's not so much sacrifice as it is PvP related necessity, and it takes hours upon hours of usually ooRP powertrading to work up those funds.

Still, nothing we can do about it.

It may not be OoRP power-trading that earned the person the money.

while i already said that its kind of rediculous to see a 890 million armour on a 20 million ship - we should not dare to accuse those that do it of any violation, any irregularity or ANYTHING wrong. they are nither ooRP, nor doing anything unfair or exploit the game in ANY way - hence accusing them for something they haven t done is utterly inappropriate.

for some people, having the best of the best equipment available within whats possible is not a matter of pvp at all. - some people just like to have it. - you see that in RL, too. people that pimp up their cars, - sometimes old and rubbish cars ... with equipment ten times more valuable than the car itself. - for those people its not about the usefulness of their gear, but about the thrill to make even the most inferiour gear to shine brightly. - leaving the car itself useless enough to do what its meant to do - get a person from A to B.

the argument is unsurprisingly similar to the basic battleship discussion. - there are those that can afford them - and are sometimes accused for powertrading, ooRPness and other nastiness - and there are those that are jealous sometimes, claim that THEY do the better roleplay anyway, cause they cannot afford that stuff - and that they are much more beneficial for the healthy server enviroment. ( and there are all the players in between that don t give a rats .... for the whole thing )

if someone has a gunship and could afford a 900 million armour, so be it. - he got what he wanted, a little edge over those that can only afford a type 6 or 7 armour. in case of the BHG gunship its even worse... the pilots don t even have a choice to mount anything but a type 8 armour. ( except for the universal armour )

anyway, we should be very cautious about who we accuse of wrongdoing and ooRPness, just cause we don t like it. the armours exist - and they are there to be used. - and i also daresay that someone might have had an intention about making the type 8 armour 250 units and not 300 units large.
