i'm just saying from an inRP PoV. Is that so bad?

if it is something like Tomioka then remember there could be people just there waiting as well. Personally I just like how Leeds planet is set up. Looks more realistic and game-play friendly.

Actualy, you could use also the red cross like that one on Planet Tomioka. Instead of a neutral jumpgate you make it a neutral mooring fixture but let it look like the red cross on Tomioka. And put it on the backside of the Planets.

now that's an idea. exists only ooRP as a representation of sneaking onto the planet through the (inevitable) gaps in security that any big, heavily occupied planet would have.

@"WPeregrine" AFC is only a player faction without indies, thus doesnt have much bearing in this debate. As for junkers, aren't there comparatively enough junkers these days?

smuggling points would actually allow other factions to have smuggling abilities without needing to overpay or travel a long distance to a neutral or friendly station to acquire things, let alone smuggling things from allied factions to make money. by giving an easier option so unlawfuls can smuggle for profit, you might increase activity and playerbase a bit.

Think Hogosha smuggling things from Bretonia, Junkers smuggling things from Kusari or HF smuggling things from Liberty. These are just a few examples.

Sure, the economy might need tweaking but more unlawfuls smuggling around means more stuff for lawfuls, bunters etc to do around houses and borderworlds instead of roaming generally about. Then you might also have rival unlawfuls raiding enemy convoys.

I see Navy and LPI all over this one......the same concept was tried on the Freeworlds server......and it was an udder disaster.
Really....so you got busted by the cops and FR5'd and you can no longer sell at the top sell point......go to the 2nd or 3rd point...issue resolved. Unless you keep smuggling the same way and get caught....then maybe start to rethink your smuggling plan....what works , and what does not.

Something though that I also think would be a really good inscentive for adding these which hasn't been talked about is how these satellites are the solution to smuggler FR5s. It'd be restricted to Freighters and Transports. The satellite would have Pirate IFF to stop lawfuls docking.

or just remove FR5 for smuggling and instead give /nodock command to indie LPI players,police faction will get more players than navies and individual players,maybe even official players will be less worried about getting slapped with a FR5

In the end the problem is not the FR5 itself but the fear of getting one,especially if you are in a tagged faction because the FR5 will not only screw you over but the whole faction for doing what you were supposed to do...smuggling !!

I think we need to call mythbusters to make special about these mythical "smuggling FR5s". At least I still fail to find any from last at least one or two years. I even asked for them repeatedly in threads regarding this topic. And I´m still waiting...

i'm merely suggesting that the option should not be on the table since /nodock command can work better in this case(smuggling)

I agree that problem is the fear. Though I still don´t understand how there can be fear of something what is not happening for years.
I´m all for removing option to FR5 for smuggling itself, because a) it´s silly and b) it´s not happening anyway.
Though I´m not sure if it´s good idea to give /nodock to indies for its huge abuse potential. Indies can´t FR5 you anyway. Only thing that may happen if smuggler is disregarding the roleplay completely and escape by docking on lawfuls station with cargo hold full of contraband, is common rep sanction which is not for smuggling but for the mentioned docking and behaving completely ooRPly. And this one can be easily fixed by one bribe.

On a ragebreak. Or ragequit. Time will tell.
