45 secs would be nicer.

Flying under radar.

Well as I tend to get dropped out of TL by every NPC going between A to B I'd obviously like them to be faster. 30 seconds is fine though, I've found no problems for it when it comes to pirating or escaping as a trader.

If you can't catch the trader by the time the TL is up or you don't keep it down yourself, it's your own fault that he escaped, not the TL. If you can't dock quick enough to the TL when it's up, and get blown up trying to escape the pirate. Once again, it's your fault, not the TL.

Simple enough.

Characters:

[FF] Seth Askura - Serving commander in the lawful mercenary unit "Faith of the Fallen"
Askura - Off duty commander in the lawful mercenary unit "Faith of the Fallen"
Muraka - Elderly Kusarian trader.

[FF] Is now a (mainly) lawful mercenary group. Anyone under the tag who commits unlawful activities should be reported at once to myself, [FF].Jaden.Crow or [FF].Klauss.Schneider. Thank you.

I like 45 or 60 seconds.
Enough to to RP, and not worry about the TL going right back up.

For me pirating, 30 is a little too short, because I get distracted shooting NPC lawfuls that fly in and then the TL goes back up and Z00M flies by a Player and I miss him.
(That doesn't happen as much in pairs, that's true.)

And whenever a TL gets hacked as I'm flying thru, I just turn on my Cruise Engines to the next one, I wouldn't ever bother sitting there for the NPCs to swarm me, I thought everyone Cruised on!

Gravediggin Necromancers!

But I am all for 45 seconds.

There's the ugly glitch where one can dock TL even if it is offline and someone is shooting it constantly.

There's one thing nobody mentioned here.

You don't have to wait for the lane ring to come back up. You can cruise to the next.

Even now with the 30sec offline time it's a good thing to do. If you know that it won't come back sooner than 30 seconds. What distance can you travel on cruise in half a minute? 5 seconds to charge cruise and get up to speed and if I use 300mps as the average speed (not top 350), I'm still getting 300mps * 25s = 7.5K

And you can notice that the lane rings are 6-7K from the next. So if you cruise, You'll enter the lane at the same time as the person who sits and waits. The difference? 7K head-start. And that works even now. 60sec downtime won't affect this in any way.

Lane downtime is important for pirating Hribek. That's why the question is here.

Actually, if you are dropped from the lane, there is a high probability that you will not have to wait the full 30 seconds for it to come back up.

As a pirate/policeman chasing a trader/smuggler, NPC disruptions are a godsend, as the trader will either have to wait to redock, in whic case, I keep the lane down, or cruise to the next lane, in which case, I wait to dock, knowing that I will be able to overtake him and catch him at the next exit...

I know that very, very well, Swift.

So what do you think about the downtimes? Should they be longer or as they are now? Because I can't understand that from what you said. Everything you said is right but how does it help?

To rephrase my previous post:
60sec downtime won't be a big problem for traders, unless they get pirated by PCs in which case it will provide more time for roleplay attempts.

Finally someone who understands why I wanted at least a minute, and why I said it won't harm trading *salutes to Hribek*

30 second is enough, especially if you have NPC disrupting you every 2 minutes.....

I believe all TL everywhere in sirius should have the same downtime
