Small Update for Liberty

So can you get our npc reputations back to full friendly? I find it annoying that we can't participate but we can't even dock and mind our own business by operating in Liberty for example because every base is shooting us.

What about people with Indy LNS who sided with Harmony? Do we just not get to participate in the event we also helped create?

Of course, your reputation is already changed like everyone who has a Navy id or LSF id. I think you can't take part because you're indie but at least you're now hostile to LSF. I also took part with my indie LNS without even knowing that I was about to get killed. I am not allowed to take part.

Well I sure fucking hope I'm not hostile to LSF, considering I sided with them.

Ha it's not. I just inquired in the Admin chat if that was the case, and it shouldn't have happened. Got word from Hannibal that he fixed/is fixing the NPC/Indie ID's rep. All is/will be good... I hope.

I see that. But I and everyone I ever talked to, enjoyed random unplanned encounters more than a planned event.

But I guess that is a thing of taste and from the outside it will look like "yet another Liberty event".

Well now you can talk to someone enjoying a bit more if what he cared to put effort into actually gets done.

From what I have seen, players initiated everything happening now, then were stuck in a weird land of "is this ok to do/continue per ID rules/Server rules?" and repeated questions/inquiries to the Admins about it, to then we had a couple different posts/PM's asking Admins to do an event or something regarding the situation. So either we ignore this and do one of the other events that (I agree) should have already been done and get yelled at by those wanting an update regarding the current stalemate regarding liberty, or we do the Liberty event real quick since both sides were waiting for what's going to happen, but we then run the risk of what is happening now with people asking 'Well why Liberty and not these other ones?".

I wonder what would have happened if we let players themselves finish what they've started in the first place, perhaps wait for some statement from LibGov (I kinda recall not one person beside me waiting for such), or maybe just try to solve the controversy BlackFart pointed out where while both sides jumped at eachother's throats for suspecting infection among the other's ranks, LN and LSF still hunt nomads together, side by side.

One think i can't wrap my mind about is how people went to all the trouble of creating a temporary ID while some factions need theirs updated/Created. I remember when i came back to Disco in June i decided i would try playing the Exiles ID. However after i talked with the leader of 343 he said there was no point in joining at the time because they were highly inactive. So i joined Zenith, only to find myself logging once alongside another member. I asked Protege why this was happening, he told me it is because for a long time now, the exiles have been waiting for their ZoI to be increased. I can't really see why this would happen... factions losing activity over this, Official factions taking longer to get their new ID and a new ID is created for maybe a month or two for an event exclusive to three factions , indies excluded.

I am that 'people' who set it up,what was different between the two situations is that i had faction leaders willing to communicate with us(mostly me) and will still continue to do so,however since @Nasher440 is the new 343/kusari exiles leader and he reached to me yesterday night we made some changes to the id that are not yet available on the server(its commented out in a file awaiting approval from other admins)

From my prespective this could have still happened without the need for the admins doing these changes.

that's really the "issue" right there,it would have happen and trying to 'group' players in other regions will not really be possible,so..one 'hotspot' at the time or it won't really be a 'hotspot' if there's more of them..
so..to other points:

indies not involved at this stage? might get involved in a few days..

"Wow would you look at the population difference?" yes you managed to pick a time when there's not that many players on the server and you didn't even removed Connecticut from liberty

as for gallia ..i personally think it will require a little more than an event to populate the house(this will require a thread of its own,though most likely someone must of went and done it at one point)

Small update on the bases it was supposed to be changed the IFF,the plugin didn't managed to do that and someone is looking into why that happened
