Almost immediately after the tingling started, Nicole all but hopped onto his back. She seemed to be an entirely different woman, scared of the simplest creatures solely because she didn't know better. "If you say so.." She tried to relax but she was hugging the man tight enough to crack a spine.
"Je--eesus..."
He strained a bit from the tightness, grabbing onto her hands in an attempt to peel them off.
Lindsay, meanwhile, watched from the sides, giggling as the two had their dilemma.
"Crap.. sorry.." She loosed her grip greatly, relieving the pressure. "Guess I don't know my own strength.." She relaxed to the tingling sensation and rather enjoyed it now, but was completely embarrassed about almost snapping Allen's spine, smiling a little hearing Lindsay giggle.
He used the fact that she loosened up and relaxed a little as an opportunity. He spun around on his heel, grabbing her by the waist and swan diving to his left towards the water. They fell in, though the water itself wasn't even that deep. They would be able to feel the same mild tingling over their bodies, but it wasn't really that pronounced as it was before.
He leaned up in the shallow water, laughing as he helped her to sit up herself. "Oh.. I'm sorry, sweetheart.. I couldn't resist the opportunity..."
Lindsay, rather expectantly, was losing herself over what he'd just done.
A brief scream could be heard before being plunged into the water. After sitting up, she tackle him back in, hugging him again, albeit much less tighter. "Allen you jerk! You big.. lovable.. hot jerk! Don't do that, you gave me a heart attack!" Her voice mimiced anger, but she also had a tone of enjoyment, moreso teasing the man than being upset.
He was chuckling too hard to really counter being tackled back into the water, although in her defense he totally deserved it. "Aw... alright.. though from the looks of it, you seem to have done my job already.."
He chuckled again, noting the fact that they were down in the water again. He hugged her in return, looking up at her with his head half submerged in the shallow but still notably deep water. "Not sure I've said this yet.. and I'm sure it's probably already obvious.. but I love you, Nicole.." His words were met with an unusually gentle smile, not unlike him when she was involved, but still rather unorthodox for him in general.
Nicole pulled him up so they were somewhat face to face. "You know you deserved that.." Though she looked to the side for a moment, then looking to his eyes. "I love you too, Allen." She pulled him in to meet their lips, wrapping her arms around him again. Almost as unorthodox as his smile, she was showing genuine happiness, something she rarely showed.
"May be just the first day.. but this is easily the best bout of leave I've ever taken."
From the beach above, Lindsay ran down towards them with an item in hand. "Daddy! Nikki! Look what I found!"
She splashed her way into the water, tripping slightly and falling into the water next to them, dousing them in a wave of the same tingly water. She waddled over to them one her knees, holding up a rather faded, but beautiful magenta seashell.
"What'cha got there Lindsay? Looks pretty, like you." Nicole briefly shivered about the tingling sensation covering her body again, but relaxed after a moment. "What do you think, Allen?"
"I think it matches you, sweetie. Vibrant and colorful, just like your mother was.."
Lindsay giggled, hugging the both of them before splashing her way back up to the towels. She'd managed to get both of them again with the water, some of it getting into Allen's mouth. "Agh-ga.. ptt.. ptt..."
He spazzed a bit as he spit the water out to his side. "Gah.. that does not taste good.. Too much flippin' salt.."
