Meh. Keep it the way it is. Bombers are made to be Anti-Cap, so I fail to see the problem.

im aware bombers are antocapitol but what im saying is no matter what 1 bomber should not make a battleship COWER IN FEAR and with snacs it does like it or notwhoevers flying

as i said before your all fighterbiased anyway so why not just take caps outta the game then cruiser and up allready have nothing to do and gunbpats are woefully underpowered /undergunned)in capitol fights


this is just because pvpwhore sruin the game that you bully the capwhores i roleplay i keep a realistic armerment(cap 8 is the cost of a battleship ffs)reguardless of weather the novas nerfed or not capitols need there hull and sheilds tweaked in someway or the weapons need to snca is like as i said 3 1000lbs bombs soling a nimtz class carrier it just dosent happen

so im left with a choice Trade and get killed by 2MILLRDAI pvp noob pirates(tyhat i refuse to pay and never will) fly a fighter/bomber which il llag and be killed within thew firstr 30 seconds or get a gunboat and get armor twice the price of the ship(which is oorp in my book anyway ) so a pair of VHFsa cant kill it or make it an all missle GB sao another GB/GS can kil lit im done posting here qand may as well make my chars fourm based only as cant afford my caps next mod and i wont fly fighters/bomber or my trader due to lag/pvpwhor pirates respectfully
so who wants to buy cap 76 (i think )armor fgrom my cruiser Louisbourg fortress and the class 5 from my destrouer the KNF ryujin

problem is ultraefectivity of SNAC against fighters... energy is recharged fast enough to spam it everytime you see chance, blast is fast enough to hit you from 50 meters. If you dont want to use razor (bountyhunters for example, how should they catch someone without CD?) and dont want to be called missilewhore... your fights against more than 1 bomber are pure pain.

Bombers are projected as anticap ship with anticap guns but it is in fact swiss knife owning all classes in game.

All right, I'll bite.

I am one of these aforementioned fighter whores. Check my sig, I fly a Capital Armored Pirate Transport and treat it like a privateering corvette. This is the biggest "cap" I own as I find myself unable to roleplay larger ships effectively. I am also an accomplished fighter and bomber pilot well-versed in both anti-cap and anti-fighter strategies from both sides of the fence.

As this type of person, I say this:

While I agree that pvp whores ruin the game, it helps to take some time to polish your skills in a vessel you are going to spend time flying. Read some tutorials (I've got one written for basic fighter combat for Congress pilots), practice combat scenarios in guard systems or Connecticut, and then you will find yourself more confident and capable when confronted with the unreasonable and non-roleplaying hordes.

Certain bombers will be seeing a reduction in their capabilities to dodge fire. These bombers are most likely the ones that pvp whores abuse -- I'm certain about 85% of Red Dragon players out there made a RD for the sake of getting their hands on a Red Catamaran. There are also Hogosha players who made a Hogosha for the pretense that being part of that faction makes it okay to have a Catamaran with Tizonas.

My point is this:

Certain bombers which are ridiculously overpowered in their ability to not get hit are becoming easier to hit. Cruisers are also being amped up in the new version, they're going to have a set role and be better-equipped to take that on.

On the capitol captain's end, though -- as one who roleplays as part of an elite division, one is expected to be able to walk the walk as well as talk the talk. Bombers typically are either very easy to kill because they get too close, or are very easy to dodge because they shoot from a long distance.*

But on the cap pilot's end, situational awareness is needed. As is polishing one's combat navigational and gunnery skills.

Jimmy, I love your roleplay, but let's work on your combat prowess. You're great but you could be so much more.


* = Granted, some are just damn good and have a reputation as such. If they roleplay well, you can roleplay at being worried about them as they are aces. If they're oorp pvp whores, just roll your eyes and take comfort that everyone else hates them too.

I use a Neutralizer/Paralyzer and 2 faction guns as an afterthought. Nothing like instakilling someone else in a single pass. :P

Codies are failures. And SN's against fighters? That really does require a lot of skill, or luck. Earlier today, I somehow managed to beat one of the generally agreed best bomber pilots in the Liberty Unlawfuls in my fighter. Granted it was a Liberator, and involved me mining off all his guns, but my point stands. Learn to evade.

il lbite again after i unsuscribed.. find me a how to for fighting with lag and il lstart useing the fighter/bomber more and mabye its not the weapon persay tho whatc124k damage is a bit extream i can see 100k not 134so even if the drop the snack by like 500 damage itll be decent as for slowing manoverability
realisticly to fire a cannon that big you either have hardly any sheilds and the cannon armed or hardly any weapons and the cannon armed so slowing the dodge rate wil lhelp

I just love how people use these type of arguments:

"Well I just saw a bomber kill a Battleship alone!"

"Well I just died to one bomber in my cruiser, how unfair is that!?"

"Well I just saw a bomber kill three fighters all by himself!"


These arguments are NOT valid. Why? Because it always depends on who the *beep* you are fighting!!!

By using these types of arguments, I can surely come around with 5 bombers and die to a gunboat, only to write a thread like this complaining how gunboats are overpowered.

Edit: Also, as Rudo said - The thread creator has already resolved his problem and I must say in a proper manner too. Kudos for that. Not kudos to those that takes this opportunity to make yet ANOTHER "Whine about Bombers/Capships".

Jimmy, I live in Australia. Stuff teleports all the time. On a good day. On a bad day it lags so much things go out of sync and it takes minutes for messages to appear, but that's usually when I'm capped. My base ms is 350, that's at least three times what a lot of the people I'm fighting have, and you'll find that lag factors a lot less in caps.
