Guildmaster Stoat stood slowly, just as Graves fell silent. His gaze covered the entirety of the gathered hunters before he cleared his throat.
"Well you all know my feelings towards the Kusari. Their invasion of sovereign Bretonain space has shown their true colours. The shadowed leaders who shelter behind the Imperial throne cast their avaricious gaze across all of Sirius, looking for opportunities to expand their dominion by any means possible.
This move for Deshima is just another step in their grand plan. If they are successful in forcing the Guild from Deshima, who knows where their gaze will fall next.
Some will call my views biased. I am here to tell you all, again, that my views are biased with good reason. We would do well to prepare for the worst, regardless of the rhetoric that may flow from the bureaucrats and politicians of Kusari.
We must show strength. We must stare down this dog, and if it moves to bite us, we must bloody its nose. The Guild cannot afford to ignore this threat, and I know that we will not. Go forth and ready yourselves, for Sirius stands on the brink."
Kei, who was sitting and listening silently so far, stood up slowly.
"My home, Kusari... I thought I won't have to return back there, ever. But looks like my past will have to confront my present now. Beware though... Kusari is a dangerous place, you can't be ever sure who is your enemy and who isn't. Most of "us" unite against any threat from the outside. The whole state might seem corrupted, there are many, many other groups which pull the strings of that puppet they call Emperor, but the national pride is very strong here, and they won't give up so easily.
I don't see why they would need Deshima so much, I don't clearly understand their motives, but maybe I could try to find out something when I'm there."
Kei made a short pause, and was frowning a bit, there were many thoughts in his mind at the time. He didn't ever want to come back, but he knew that his presence might be helpful to the Guild, which was nearly like his new family.
"I'll move some of my ships to Denver. With your permission, I could try to scout trough Kusari to get any information I can. Hopefully there are still people who are not totally brainwashed."
Kei nodded, and sat on the chair again.
Again, he was thinking about the whole thing. He wasn't back to Kusari for a long time. Hopefully no one will remeber him. Well, someone could.
- Two men entered the hall, presenting some dry coughs to get the attention -
Dear hunters and huntresses, these news is disturbing.
Indeed, this "rebellion" or whatever you want to call it must never progress. Thus the Enforcing Avengers will assist with all their might to lay waste to those threatening Deshima and her inhabitants.
- The room was filled with whispers and raised eye-brows -
If this is done with chitchat or blood and tears is uncertain. You can count on us, Alex "Speedy" Daniels and Salvador "Dodge" Sanchez to be at your side regardless.
Jack sipped some whiskey, looked around and then sipped some more. "I always knew them rice munchers are not trust worthy.
However,I'm not planning to move away from the Omicrons.I have... bad experience in house space.
But hey,you never know what tomorrow will serve you."
"This is Kyra Leon, reporting in. Once I've finished my current contracts in Manchester, I will report to Denver to support the fleets moving into Kusari. I ask only one thing... if the Hogosha turn out to be the puppets behind the emperor's actions, I want first shot at them. I have a score to settle with those bastards."
Raj Watkins lights a cigarette as the transmission begins.
' I am a man of few words, but I pledge my allegiance to the Guild. I have a fighter and bomber at my disposal and I will do whatever necessary to support the Guild's actions regarding this matter. I am awaiting orders, gentlemen'
With a quick gesture, he turns off the video feed

"By Bonaparte's testicles! Quite a lot of testosterone flying around here.
"Bear in mind, we have neither the will nor indeed the ability to take on the Kusari Navy in a war. I'd advise all to exercise caution and restraint. No unnecessary exchange of fire.
"The station's defenses are more than capable of keeping light craft at bay. My main worry is a large blockade of destroyers.
"Any move by the Kusari government to escalate this situation should provoke a swift and sharp response, if only for what vengeance we can exact. However, all Guild ships should bear in mind that these current stand-off is generally the customary behaviour of the Kusari government. They need to be seen to beat their chests and kick foreigners in their privates. And, so long as our long-term goal isn't jeopardised, we can stomach it. I'm sure a little taste of our perseverance might make the Emperor reconsider our position in Shikoku - after all, we are perfectly organised to deal with Kusari's internal criminal organisations.
"The Council will convene now and a statement will be made shortly."
'well ****, I'm late... again. damn that Damoclass and his errands.'
he sits down at the back somewhere in the still half filled hall.
'is there still someone to shoot at? I'd love to pop some sushi munchers' he asks a hunter sitting next to him.
'nah, all quiet lately' the middle aged man replies.
'ah hell with it. I still got a report to write. I'll see what comes my way. been a while since I've been in house space. I'm planning to have some fun'
