Jackson followed the man with the Strange Hat that Looked like he was from another Time. after they have Reached a Private Place he sat down in a chair and waited for Doc to do the same. Jackson was Unarmed and his Face was a Professional Mask till he Began to Speak. "You must wonder why I am here Sir, well it is because of Sonja Vilke. and the fact that her Husband is Dead." he made a Sad Face and Looked down on his Shoes before he Spoke again, gone was the Mask and a Sad-Man sat before John. "what Happened to Sonja was my Fault, we all on the Station Knew for Years what that Bastard did with her. but he was a Drinking Buddy of the Administrator, and I Never had any Evidence." a Deep Helplessness could be seen in his eyes as he Looked up to John.
"Believe me I Have Tryed to get this Bastard into Jail for Years, but he never Abused her when they were a Witnesses around." he sighed, and even though he was a Tall man he looked really Smal right now as if an Entire Planet were on his Shoulders. "I have Locked Kenny up as often and as Long as I Could, always in the Hope Sonja would Come to her Sense and Leave Him for good. but she never did, she always Found an Excuse for him. she Told us she was Clumsy or that she had an accident, I have never believed that but I had no Evidence." he Looked like a Tortured Soul that had a Loot of Compassion and Realy Cared for Sonja. "after we had Found Kenny Dead I knew that she hadn't intended it, and the Evidence also Told it to us. but there was all this Blood on the Ground and her Ship was gone. I was worried about her but the Chief didn't want to Spend Resources on her, so I am here on My Own. Please I have to know if she is still alive. the Barkeeper on Barrier Gate Station told me you have her, so please tell me what happened with her?" he looked like he Deeply Regrets that he couldn't help Sonja.

They sat in Doc's office to speak privately. It was just that, an office. He had a computer to review files and yes, a filing cabinet. A large picture hung on the wall behind his desk of a Kusari woman in a Kimono. Together, the men sat in discussion. As Doc listened, he felt a little more at ease as he realized he wasn't going to have to deal with the law. Still, it was disturbing to hear the story. He gave a few sighs, a couple of nods and a head shake or two.
"I am no mental health expert," he explained but I do know that women will make excuses for the men they love out of fear if for no other reason." He sighed again, "Yes, it sounds like Sonja was no different."
He stood up and poured himself a seltzer, pouring another for his guest as well before returning to his seat.
"She arrived here just over two weeks ago. Actually, she arrived at Barrier Gate Station in Coronado where I happened to be having ship problems. I brought her here myself because if I did not, she would have died there."
He sipped his seltzer. "I can only assume this guy must have been big. Her injuries indicated to me that she had been thrown around like a rag doll and beaten like a punching bag." He nodded a little, "I had to feed her a lot of blood to keep her alive."
He pulled up the pictures of her injuries on his computer and was blunt as the man looked. "I would not have cared if she had intended to kill him. I would have protected her myself with what I saw."
There was a slight hint of rage that was subdued that forced him to collect himself for a moment.
"She is a sweet girl, a beautiful young woman," he stated. "She did not deserve that and she will remain under my care for awhile yet. I can fix the physical scars but not the mental ones. I fear that the sight of you will cause her to have an anxiety attack and right now, her heart cannot take that."
He then looked perplexed. "Your chief did not want to spend resources on her?" He shook his head. "His job is to do just that, to see that justice is done, to see that due process is given and that victims are given care." He again sounded a bit angered by it but he cooled himself quickly. "The fact that you came this way speaks volumes about you in a good way. You are to be commended. It was a long trip from Freeport 5 to here so I have quarter for you to get some rest."
Finally, he shut down the computer and stood up. "I will let you get settled. I will have one of my people escort you to your quarters as I have rounds to make. There is a large cafe and restaurant near you and please, observe visitor restrictions. I will speak with Sonja and see if she is up to speaking with you."
as he Knew that Sonja was alive he Sighed and Looked like a part of the Burden was gone from his Shoulders. "Thank the Goddess she is Alive" his voice was almost a Wisper and Doc could hear that he had to hold back the tears. he looked up to him and Took out a Picture of a Young Sonja and Himself he looked at it for a while before he reached it to Doc. "Yes she was always a good girl, she was always Happy and Friendly. till she had met Kevin, he had Broken her. the Son of a Bitch was 2.10 Meters Tall, and even as he was a Drinker he was really Muscular." he sighed and took the Drink. "If it wouldn't be an Accident believe me I would have made one out of it, I should have Blown Kenny out of an Airlock a Long time ago." he looked as if he regretted it that he didn't help her in the last Years. "and yes the Chief told me that she isn't "OUR PROBLEM" anymore after she left the Freeport, I couldn't stand that so I took an Unpaid Holiday" he made a Sour face and was Clearly Disgusted by this behavior of his Chief before he stood Up and Shaked Docs Hand. "I thank you for Everything you have Done for Sonja, I Will Gladly Take Your Offer and Rest a bit, it was a Long Search." after that he let himself be escorted to a Guest Room.
The Next Morning.
Sonja Woke up with a Smile as always Niki had Cuddled herself at her in her sleep, Sonja had a Good Feeling today. She haves a Future, and she had Peapole around her that were good to her. she Carresed her Cat and Enjoyed her Breakfast. "Now I just have to Heal Niki, then our New Life can begin. I can learn how to help other Woman Like me, and who knows maybe you Can help me too with this." She Chuckles and Gives Niki a Bit of her Sausage and Smiles as the Cat Treats it like the most delicious thing she ever had. It made Sonja Smile to see her Litle Companion that happy over a Simple Pice of Sausage, Niki Inspired her to be Happy about the Litle things. she was gone through Hell, and even if she had forgotten most of it she knew it was a Hell. But now she was on the way to a New Life and she Looked forward to it.

Patient Recovery Room 4, Med Force General and Research, Baffin
She was enjoying some breakfast when Doc came to check on his patient.
"Mohnin'," he said in his old world southern drawl. He smiled a bit, noticing she was enjoying some solid food. After making sure she was finished with her meal, he placed his mug of coffee on a nearby table and gave her an examination. The soft skin of her stomach which was opened with a jagged bottle was still sensitive but healing. It just didn't look so raw after a couple of weeks healing. Bones, however, her arm and orbital bone, would need more time. He did removed the air cast that held her arm together so that the skin could get some air and to check the dressing. He would then re-install the air cast before he took a seat next to her, leaning on both arms which were resting on the bed rail. His face went a bit long as he softly began to explain the man from Freeport 5.
"I have a visitor here on station," he began. "A Jackson Walker is here, concerned about your condition."
He then placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder as he saw fear overtaking her.
"No worries. Your name was cleared back on Freeport 5. That is basically why he is here. I had a very nice chat with him yesterday and he was concerned.....genuinely so. Sonja I showed him the pictures we took when you first arrived to close up the case. He is glad that you killed your ex even if it was an accident."
Doc then looked at the cut on her stomach. "I do not think you realize just how close he was to killing you." He stayed with her as he called over his comm.
"Michelle, bring in Mr. Walker."
When he arrived, Doc let Walker take his place. "Excuse me as I have charts to read. I will be back shortly."

Sonja Looked at the Tall man that entered her Room he Looked Familiar and had a Sad Smile on his face. as he Sits at the Chair next to her she Touched Mishelles Arm to show her that she doesn't want to be alone with the Stranger. of Course Jackson Noticed that so he Moved the Chair a Bit Backwards so that Sonja would be out of his Reach Before he Speaks. "I know you won't Recognize me but I am a Friend, my Name is Jackson Walker and we Grew Up Together." she looked at him and some Memories returned to her. she and Jackson Playing as Children, and Later Study together for School as Teens. as always before she had some Kind of Headache as the Memories returned. "we played together." she makes a Sour Face and Mishelle gave her a Glas of Water with aspirin bin it. "you and I were Freinds. I remember some things, but most of it is still in the Shadows." Jackson Smiled and Looked at her, what he saw Shocked him. he knew that Kenny was a Brutal Bastard but seeing Sonja Like this was as if someone would have put his heart into a vise and Slowly Closed it. he had tears in his eyes as he talked again. "I am sorry that I didn't help you, I should have Simply Killed Kenny myself. Please Forgive me."
as Sonja Heard, the Name of her Husband more Memories Returned to her, all of them were Brutal and abusive the Pain that the Memories Caused in Sonjas Head was Strong and made her Scream. Mischelle was at her side immediately and gave her a Painkiller and wanted to send him away, but Sonja Stoped her. this Man could tell her something about her Past. "Good but don't Mention her Ex Again." said the Nurse. Sonja was Thankful to Mishelle and looked at Jackson. "Please tell me something about my Family?" Jackson wasn't sure if he should, seeing her having that pain, as some Memories Returned, was hard for him but he Granted her the Wish he got out a Litle Tablet and Opened its Picture Folder. "this was your First Birthday with Niki" the Picture shows how Sonja and the Litle Cat had each their own Cake. Sonja had a Cheesecake and Niki a one out of Fish. the Young Girl Smiled Bright at the Camera and the Cat had her Mouth open in a Friendly Meow. it looked Funny and Sonja had to Chuckle and as this Happy Memory returned she had no Pain. "I had to Hold her Back she was so Greedy to have her Cake."
in the Next 2 Hours, Jackson Brought her Many Happy Memories back. but he made sure never to Mention Kenny or her Marriage again, he had seen what happened as he did and he didn't want her to have that Kind of Pain again. in the end, Sonja was Realy Tired and fells asleep and Jackson left her. but before that, he Left a Tablet for her and Copied all the Pictures of her Happy Life before Kenny at it. then he walked over to Doc's Office and Enters after Knocking. "Sir, I thank you for everything you did for Sonja. I hope I was able to give her some of her memories back. but I think it's better when I leave now. I See it Like her, it's maybe better when not all of her Memories Return and my Presence here would maybe Trigger that. Please look after her for me, Sonja had Suffered enough, the Rest of her Life should be Happy." He smiled at him and reached his hand to Shake Doc's.

"You are a man of integrity," Doc stated as he accepted his hand. "You did not have to come here but you chose to of your own free will. It speaks volumes of who you are."
Releasing his hand, he went around his desk and picked up his datapad.
"You will find compensation for your time and travel in your account and I have ordered my loadmaster to fill your hold with anti-radiation medicine for Freeport 5. Also, I sent a few goods for my staff if you do not mind."
He put the datapad back on his desk. "I would offer you a job here working security but I feel someone of your integrity is best serving at Freeport 5. I am sure it is not easy with the cliental that frequents that base. Corsairs, Hessians, Bounty Hunters....Never a dull moment I am sure."
He shook his hand again. "You have my word that Sonja will be well taken care of. I will look you up on one of my trips out there."
With that, Walker began his trip home while Doc went back to work.
Patient Recovery Room 4, Med Force General and Research, Baffin
He returned to Sonja who was awake but resting, taking a seat next to her. Michelle was elsewhere assisting in surgery.
"Mr. Walker just left to return home. I sent anti-radiation meds and some other goods with him." He smiled. "He is an honorable man." He sighed, "And I promised to take good care of you."
He took out his bioscanner and gave her a quick lookover. "For you, Young Lady, you just need time to finish healing before I send you to study psychiatry at our academy."
Hangar Bay, Med Force General and Research, Baffin
After his Dromedary was Loaded Jackson Looked back again, as he Came here he Thought about quitting his job. but the Meeting with John Holiday and Sonja showed him that he had a job to do, he Would go back to Freeport 5 and do his best to make a Better Place out of it. as his ship was Loaded he Lifts his arm to a Final Greetings and Spoke into the Empty Hangar "Good-by Litle Bird, I hope your Life will be Better Now" then he got into the Ship and Lifts off into the Void.

Sonja Smiled as John enters her Room she had Looked at the Pictures on her Tablet, Jackson had only left her Happy ones. and there was a Loot of them that showed the Two Smiling and Playing in the Halls and Caves of Freeport 5. there were also Pictures of Nikki in her Various Life Stages, from a Kitten to a Teenager and then to a Fully Adult Cat. "here I have some Pictures of my Past." she was so happy that she wanted to share them with John, and just realized a bit later what he said. as she Realized that Jackson was gone she looked a bit sad, but then she thought that he had an important job and that she was happy about the Memories he brought back to her. "he is a nice man, even when I had Feared him at the beginning of his Visit." as she heard that John had promised him that he would take care of her that made her smile, he was a Good Man and she couldn't wish for someone Better to be her Doctor. "Can I do Something to Prepare myself for Study while I Heal?" she blushes and looks a bit embarrassed, as she didn't want to Sound Ungrateful.

Patient Recovery Room 4, Med Force General and Research, Baffin
He smiled. "I will address your question in a minute but first...."
He put on his reading glasses and began reading a file next to her bed. It was a hard copy so he would flip the page once finished with another. He was silent as he read. A couple of minutes seemed to be an eternity. Without looking up from the file, he simply said into his comm badge, "You may bring that into room 4." With that, he closed the file and smiled again as he came to his feet.
"I want you to start getting your strength up," he told her, "and this bed is not much of a place to do it. Physical therapists will help you on your feet but as I want you to get around, I prefer you not walk more than you are comfortable doing so...."
He was cut off by a nurse bringing in an electric wheel chair. "Here you are, Doctor."
Together, the two of them helped Sonja to her feet and after a short walk, they helped her into the chair.
"With this you can get around a bit," he explained. "I have a bunch of surgeries scheduled so I will be busy but no worries..." He smirked, "......I will not forget you." His face returned to it's friendly look. "During visiting hours, you may get around a bit. For now, you will have an escort. I have arranged with Michelle to get you some regular clothing and you can visit the cafes and such around here. You will be shown the way. Michelle will also get you in for a regular shower which I am sure you look forward to."
He then sat beside her in his chair. He was a little closer to her now that she was out of the bed but he tried not to make her uncomfortable. "As to your studies, I am no mental therapist so I have arranged with the heads of mental studies to work with you to sort of see where we should go with you. They can better assist you in this. For now, I have sent you some reading material on your tablet that, well, is sort of the beginning of your studies."
He sat up a bit and placed his hands on his lap. "Is there anything else I can do for you before I head to work?"

while He sat there Sonja Watched him, with the Glasses he Somehow looked, even more, intellectual and Smart. she knew that she liked him and that he would never hurt her. after he had Finished his Reading he told her about all the Surprises he had for her. with every Suprise, he had for her the Smile on her Face became a bit Bigger and Bigger till her smile was as bright as it could be without Hurting her. her eyes Sparkled as she saw the Electric Wheelchair. at the Short walk to the Chair, she Tried her best to move off her own but her legs were still Weak but she wanted to move too. "I want to Move too, its, well I feel so Lazy to lay all day in bed." she smiled and checked out the Functions of the Chair. it was a Real Simple Model and she found out Quickly how to use it. Niki gave the New thing a bit of a Skeptical Look at first but then Jumped on Sonjas Lap and Cuddles in there. "I think Niki could use some Movements too she got a bit Fat I think, Or you Spoil her too much?" Niki Looks up to her like she would want to ask if that was Honestly Sonjas Opinion and then Moved a bit just to show that she was a Beautifull Cat, what made Sonja Chuckles and Cares between her Ears where she Likes it the best.
as he told her that they wouldn't see each other that often in the next week her smiles good a bit weaker, but she understood that he needs to help others "It's ok you don't have to hold my hand every time, I would feel bad if you wouldn't help Peapole because of me. but why do I need an Escort I thought I have Nothing to Fear anymore?" she looked a bit worried was she Still in Danger? she looked at him but she Trusted him and she knew that he would have a reason for this. Sonja smiled as he mentioned that she would get normal Clothes, the Hospital Pyjama she had was Comfy but not really that what she liked in the Past for Dayle Clothing "Can I Have a Dress? I have looked at the Pictures Jackson had Gave me I had a lot of them. I Feel that I Like to Wear them." She smiled and Came a bit Closer with the Wheelchair "and I promise I will be a good Student, I will do my Best to Learn and Honor the Hippocratic Oath." she smiled happily and Leans Forward to Just Hug Him, he had done so much for her and she had the Urge to Thank him like this. it felt Natural to Hug him and there was not even a Hint of Fear in her Body. as she let go of him she had a Shy Smile on her face and Blushed. "I am sorry, I Just wanted to show you how thankful I am for all that you have done for me."
Niki looked at all this and Purred on Sonjas Lap, she Could Feel how Happy her Twinsoul was, that was something that didn't happen often in the Years before she Came here. Niki was happy for her and she would do her best that Sonja would stay happy. the Litle Cat Jumped over to John and Rubbed her head at his Hand as a Thank you from her. before she Returned into Sonjas lap and Cuddles in again. near her, Twinsoul was Nikis Favorite Place and she could sense that Sonja felt the same way as Sonja Caressed the Spot between Niki's ears where she loved it the most and that lets her Purr even Louder.

Patient Recovery Room 4, Med Force General and Research, Baffin, about 6 Weeks Later
He was carefully holding her arm having removed the cast from it. His right hand supported her elbow, the other at her wrist.
"OK, the first few times I do this it will hurt a bit as it has been in a stable position for so long," he told her.
Gently, he slowly moved her arm a little. He knew it was painful so he was as gentle as he could be. That first swing took awhile but they got it in. Before too long, she found herself swinging the arm, albeit slowly, on her own to Doc's approval.
"I will have a physical therapist working with you for a bit," he told her. "For now, no heavy lifting."
The orbital bone had also healed nicely as had all of her wounds. To the observer, one wouldn't know she had been battered but beneath the skin, she still felt it as internally she was still strengthening.
"I think we can start treating you less as a patient and more as a visitor," he told her. "I have arranged quarters for you while the therapist finishes with you. It is also there that you will formally begin your studies. Eventually, I will transfer you to our Academy out in Omicron Theta. You will learn more there than you will here."
She no longer needed a wheelchair and she was eating and drinking on her own. "I want you to enjoy your time here so tonight, I want you to be my guest at the piano bar. Those who know how to play will to include myself." He smiled softly. "Casual attire is fine. I do not keep dress codes on station except in surgical areas."
He then noticed the cat and gave it a scratch on the neck. With Michelle entering, he turned things over to her.
"She is all yours," he told her. With that, he left the room. Michelle turned to Sonja as Doc left. "How that man is in such a good mood is beyond me. Besides you, there hasn't been much success for him lately."
