Post-Combat After Action Report

date: 18.05.35
rank & name: Commander Freud, Roland ("Locksmith")
reporting from: Arranmore
ARR # 010

"... Hm. I doubt that my opinion on the above means much. Still, it would be weird to ignore it outright."

"To be honest... The fact that some 'benevolent' alien entity thinks it has the right to decide who gets to retain consciousness, autonomy, and to what extent... It's not the most pleasant thing, to say the least."

"Still, years of survival on Pittsburgh and in the vastness of Sirius have taught me not to be picky. One has to be flexible. If they deign to stand shoulder to shoulder with us, let them. Time will tell whether they can be trusted... And to what extent."

"Anyway. Let's get to the actual report."

"Commander Crowe gave me the blessing to cover the most exciting part. The culmination of all this fuss in Dublin. In truth, our fighters felt like a very small detail in the overall, huge picture. The forces that had gathered to help our friends from Dublin were truly impressive in their scope. Which, of course, could be expected, since we were facing an open confrontation with one of the Houses."

"While it was tempting to join in the chaos of the battle, our task was different: to protect the fireships Hope and Fortune. Which was... Easy enough. The vast majority of the crown forces and their allies were tied down in the fight. The few that tried to break through to the fireships were unlikely to destroy them in time, but even they were driven back by us."

"And then... Boom. Fireships can put on a good fireworks display, as it turns out. After which invaders took to their heels. Evaporated faster than drinks at the bar on Arranmore. A beautiful victory, in many ways."

"Glad I took part in it. Although perhaps the hardest challenge was staying on my feet after the celebration."

After-combat action report

I'm happy to report last night's patrol within the Liberty Southwest was concluded successfully. Delayed by a dockyard inspection, I departed from Valravn Citadel at 2148 hours, taking the short route through Coronado to regroup with Commanders Locksmith and Bellamy Crowe in the Magellan system. I found them concluding their public outreach duties upon a solitary snubcraft flying a Liberty Navy IFF. The pilot claimed their IFF was going to be fixed soon and retired to sleep upon docking a local asteroid outpost. Commander's Crowe ship began experiencing technical difficulties, which seemed to originate from a substandard hullpanel fixing. We discussed options for field dressing the ship. Commander Locksmith suggested we requisition those from the Liberty Navy in the future.

After collecting our party, we began our patrol duties in earnest and completed a loop through the California, New York, and Pennsylvania systems. We failed to encounter resistance, beside two bombers with a Liberty Navy ID. An Upholder and Raven's Talon. I expressed my suspicions that they were local scammers pretending to be officers to the rest of our wing. The pilots in question were tight lipped and gave no indication on what their purpose in the system was, even when questioned directly and through more forceful means. The commander made the call to incentivize them with a few warning shots. The initial target, marked on the combat log as Fighting Falcon appeared to freeze in panic and took no evasive action, somehow vaporizing with the initial salvo.

I'll admit I was still processing the situation, when I was ordered to pursue and destroy the secondary target, whose transponder held the Jhon.Week tag. The pilot attempted to gain distance and saturate my flight path with semi-active missile salvoes. The speed at which the opponent corrected their vectors and the accuracy of their shots would indicate that either these ships were indeed not part of the actual Liberty Navy, or that the service's training levels have reduced further than anticipated.

After inspecting the wreckage for useful maintenance components, failing to find any, we completed our patrol path and returned to base through the Ontario-Inverness junction, which also concludes my report. I hope the language used was satisfactory to my senior officers, unlike before. I would like to avoid further reeducation to focus on combat efficiency.

Glory to the legion,
Lt. Carmine out.

<AFTER-COMBAT ACTION REPORT>

Date: 05.23.YY, 835
Rank & Name: Initiate Roquefort, Jean ("Cajun")
Reporting From: Inverness, Valravn, Public Wing 01, Psychiatric Office
AAR # 001

For my first assignment since being permitted to fly for Task Force Prometheus, I was to rendezvous with Tectarch Amy West and Bellamy Crowe in the Sierra Asteroid Field in California. We formed up outside the Jump Hole to Ontario, and Crowe briefed us on the way. Each of us flew a superiority fighter fitted for dogfighting, though this would turn out to be a considerable under-preparation on our part.

Our first objective was to rendezvous with some shady character, who went by Sam Enox, in the Magellan system and attempt to recruit him. Our goodwill in our efforts to recruit him would see us dragged all the way out to Omicron Gamma, where he promptly sold an entire Gallic Frigate's hold worth of Capital-grade weapon components. At this point, Crowe decided to end the fruitless and time-consuming recruitment op.

On our return trip, we encountered hostile Nomad warforms engaged in combat with Corsairs and the Order. This was my first time encountering such... lifeforms. After only a cursory skirmish with the Nomads (though we likely saved a Corsair cruiser from destruction), we withdrew. During our withdrawal, we encountered another such alien, one that Crowe seemed to recognize. It "spoke" to us in its own peculiar way. Crowe appeared to be deeply affected by these encounters with the aliens, even concerned with the "speaking one's" safety. Fortunately, no further combat ensued, and we were able to return all the way back to Vespucci in peace.

In Vespucci, we encountered "Nibwaakaawin", as in the very same from last week's general memo from Megiddo. We had a conversation that proved very enlightening for me, in which "Nibwaakaawin" claimed, among other things, that Jump Gate and Trade Lane technology were sourced from Alien vaults. Admittedly, all these revelations in one day made me feel ill, so I traveled to Valravn ahead of West and Crowe to self-report for psychiatric evaluation.

I am pleased to report that I am in good health. Additionally, my ship only sustained damage from the radiation of the hazardous route to the deep Omicrons, so it was quickly repaired and is also mission-ready. Awaiting new orders.

Non-Combat After Action Report

Date: <5.30.835, 11:37 GAST
Rank & Name: Initiate Alyra "Bloodshot" Marks
Reporting From: Valravn Citadel
AAR # 001

This was the first patrol / expedition mission I have been on since I have joined. What started as a small in and around Liberty incursion along side Initiate Knox, turned very interesting when both Initiate Assam and Lieutenant Hurricane I guess, as they have not disclosed their name to us joined in and took us around a more interesting route. I would like to submit in this report both legs of our expedition with more detailed pictures of our flight, however due to the general nature of the flight, nothing strategic or of general military worth has been taken in the form of gun cams, however I did want to document what has transpired today, for future reference.

The first leg: Inverness-> Coronado-> California->Ontario->Inverness

On this leg it was just me and Initiate Knox, trying to get a feel for what Liberty has been up to and to make sure that after yesterday's training we did some more coordinated exercises like formation flying and basic scouting. While we were alone and unsupervised we decided to task ourselves with basic scouting and not risk going close to any heavy asset of the Liberty navy, namely in California, which we were more then aware that it was quite on the doorstep of their forces and that in case we poked around for to long response forces might've been deployed. After receiving the recall we hastily made our way into Ontario, which seems to have been peaceful this time, however we took all measures of precaution as to not endanger ourselves. After the short flight we found ourselves back at Valravn.

The second leg; Inverness->Coronado->Baffin->Tau 29-23-37->Omicron Alpha->Omicron Theta-> Omicron Kappa->Omicron Delta->Omicron Zeta-> Omicron Iota

This was a more interesting route that we took since it had us a bit more on our toes, or even more once we reached deep Omicrons. While we as a group worked together very interestingly and were able to keep close to each other and navigate with ease, the skill of those of higher rank came into play much later during our flight. But while we were in the systems most of us are familiar with, we did quite honorable to say the least. Was was more interesting was the fact that we got to visit places we would not visit on our own just for now. I do however think that there are interesting places to explore and further increase our knowledge, if not of the geography of the systems, about the movement of the Core, Order and Nomads, as we have been in their territory had just a small glimpse of what that feels like. I can say with confidence that the nomad worlds are far different the those we, or at least I am used to. They have this eerie feeling that you are constantly watched, and you feel this sense of impending doom, which kind of screws with your perception of reality and makes it hard for you to keep a cool head and eyes peeled, or that just might be me and my inexperience. I would like that later down the road, to be send again in those lands to try and learn as much as we can from them, as even if I am just an Initiate, I believe these places have a great deal of important information we can access. One of the more important things that I would like to report is that deep within the land of the Nomads, in Iota, above one of their jump gates, they have a number of jump holes that also seem to have connections to a bit more "in land house space". However due to not being used to that extreme hostility In Iota my ship was blown up, but I was quickly taken in by the Lieutenant and brought to safety back home. I will also attach the medical check ups after this expedition, as the doctors insisted to do full check ups on me due to levels of radiation we incurred on the way to Iota and as well the exposure to the nomad worlds, since I was drifting in space for a good couple of seconds before I was tractored back in. Luckily I can confirmed before the files, that I am without a scratch and that nothing seems to be out of order.

With a new influx of recruits and returning Legionnaires alike, so too must follow naturally adjustments to the chain of command. Your biological selves have shown great promise, and as such today you are no longer Initiates - you are Legionnaires.

The following promotions are effective immediately:

Initiate Djarg Ralar to the rank of Lieutenant, for unwavering dedication, swift response, and prowess in the field.

Initiate Jean Roquefort to the rank Lieutenant, for sharpness of mind, keen initiative, and exceptional tenacity.

Initiate Alyra Marks to the rank Lieutenant, for prowess in the field, swift response, and keen initiative.

Congratulations, Legionnaires.

Post-Combat After Action Report

Rank & Name: Commander Crowe, Bellamy
Reporting From: Valravn Garrison
AAR # 003

At approximately 2100 hours, Commander Freud and I departed Valravn for a patrol. We were quickly cut short by a Crayterian radar contact, =AoH=Razor, who approached Valravn claiming himself to be a former Legionnaire, one Major Jan Levenko. He dropped names I recognized and names I didn't, including Samuel Locklear and Markus Brass, an alleged former Fleet Marshal of the Legion. He also claims to have fought alongside Exarchs West and With. If the Exarchy could corroborate this story it would be very helpful, considering his current circumstances.

As he began to reveal more about his past, we were set up by three LSS strikecraft, Blackhawk, Alpha-4, and Sigma-7. Commander Freud and I gave the Legionnaire a chance to prove himself loyal to us and not Crayter, and he did not disappoint. A fierce battle ensued in which all three LSS strikecraft were shot down, at the cost of Freud's and Levenko's fighters. Both of them managed to eject, and I continued the fight until Auxesian assistance arrived from Valravn, A/)-Purple and A/)-Variant pulling my ass out of the fire, and also dispatching a Xeno who had joined the fray, XA-Massasauga, who frankly seemed more interested in taking down the LSS.

I returned to Valravn much worse for wear, but hopefully with an old friend in my cargo hold. I hope he's worth it. A full report of combatants and status follows:

  • LSS|Blackhawk - Defender - Destroyed
  • LSS|Alpha-4 - Claymore - Destroyed
  • LSS|Sigma-7 - Anubis - Destroyed
  • XA-Massasauga - Rebel - Destroyed

  • Cdr. Bellamy Crowe - Prosecutor - Returned To Base
  • Cdr. Roland Freud - Defender - Ejected
  • =AoH=Razor - Nyx - Ejected
  • A/)-Purple - Lich - Returned To Base
  • A/)-Variant - Draugr - Returned To Base

Post-Combat After Action Report

Date: 05.30.35, 23:50 GAST
Rank & Name: Lieutenant Ralar, Djarg
Reporting From: Valravn Citadel, Inverness
AAR # 002

Yesterday, at approximately 20:00 Sirius Time, Task Force assets assembled at Valravn Citadel in the Inverness System for a scheduled training exercise.
Participating pilots included:
  • Bloodshot
  • Locksmith
  • Storm
  • Wind Rose
  • Cassandrine Knox
  • Djarg Ralar

First Engagement - Liberty Navy Interference

Prior to my arrival, the exercise was interrupted by the appearance of a Liberty Navy Dreadnought, the LNS Colorado. Two LSF fighters launched from the dreadnought and the battlegroup opened hostilities against our forces. With the vast firepower of the Hellfire Legion legacy battleship, the HFB Incursus, the Colorado was ultimately neutralized and its escort ships eliminated by Storm and Wind Rose. No Task Force losses were recorded during this engagement. Following the succesful elimination of the Navy battleship, I joined the squad and the training operation resumed without further incident for a short duration.

Second engagement - Liberty Rogues intruder

Later into the training session, a vessel affiliated with the Liberty Rogues entered the area. The contact was confirmed hostile. The Rogue vessel was destroyed after a brief but intense skirmish. During the engagement, two of our fighters were lost. Emergency recovery teams were dispatched immediately, and both pilots were successfully extracted and transfered to Valravn Citadel Medical for treatment.

Continued monitoring of Liberty Navy and Rogue movements in Inverness is advised.

Legionnaires, ye've all done excellent work as of late. From Initiate to Commander, I'm damn proud of each of you. Commander Crowe in particular, you've done extremely well to return Levenko to us. He and I fought together many times, and at this rate I'll be givin' ya homework on historical Legion personnel for the sake of tactical awareness alone. I'm presuming the both of y'are in Valravn's medical unit, in which case I'll be headed down to see you in person soon enough.

Effective immediately, Jan Levenko is reinstated into our forces at the rank of Lieutenant pending debriefing of how he ended up in Crayter's service and any intel he might have acquired during his time therein.

Additionally, I'm bloody pleased to announce the formation of the 333rd "Speed Demons", Task Force Prometheus' very own racing squad. While this might seem a trivial distraction from our mission at first, the 333rd will fully serve military objectives. Any volunteers are to approach me about the matter privately so as we can discuss expectations.

Exarch, out.

Non-Combat After Action Report

Date: 05.31.835.7:16 GAST
Rank & Name: Initiate Knox, Cassandrine
Reporting From: Valravn Citadel
AAR # CK-001

Deployment commenced from Inverness under standard patrol protocols. I was paired with fellow Initiate Alyra Marks, the assignment initially framed as a light systems patrol and cohesion check.

This marked my first official patrol and expedition assignment since joining Task Force Prometheus. What began as a simple flight near Liberty space — shared with fellow Initiate Alyra Marks — soon evolved into something far greater. The arrival of Initiate Assam and a Lieutenant who introduced herself only by callsign “Hurricane” changed the pace and scope entirely. With no names given and no full briefing offered, we found ourselves swept along a route few Initiates are ever exposed to so early.

Despite the scale of the operation, no tactical engagements occurred. No hostile contacts, barely some gun-cam captures to submit for strategic value. And yet, what we experienced felt significant — not militarily, perhaps, but personally.

Because of this, though the flight may not yield raw data for Command analysis, I believe it holds internal value. Not everything in the void is about firepower. Sometimes, it’s about what it stirs within us when we see what lies beyond the safe edge of mapped space.

From Inverness, through Coronado, Baffin and then the Tau corridor, we entered Omicron Alpha. From there, our trajectory took us through Theta, into Kappa, and then Delta. Environmental hazards increased as we progressed — radiation, EM noise, wreck fields. Omicron Zeta came next, then finally, the void gates of Iota... and beyond that, Psi. The Nomad structures there defied form and logic. The silence wasn’t passive. It felt present.

It was near those constructs that Initiate Marks was lost. Her ship was destroyed — unclear whether by residual Nomad weaponry or automated defenses. Assam confirmed pod recovery. No other losses occurred.

Our return followed a long arc: Psi, Alpha, Theta again — then through Gamma, Omega-41, and Omega-5. Bretonian space gave us a corridor home: Cambridge, New London, Manchester. From there, we crossed Cortez, Coronado, and finally returned to Inverness.

My ship sustained no damage. Flight systems remained responsive throughout. There are no tactical engagements to report, but the mission remains meaningful. We were not simply tested against the unknown — we were shown it.

I remain flight-ready and available for debrief.

Subject: On conduct of lieutenant Struikas
Priority: High

On 29th of May, at approximately 18:00 GAST got an emergency rally call in Valravn proximity, issued by lieutenant Andrew Struikas. I had not disregarded it, against my better judgement, so upon launching into space, discovered lieutenant accompanied by two Initiates, Bloodshot and Knox.

We would "go on a trip", Struikas suggested – and indeed have taken initiates in his care to quite the wild ride. To the Tau systems, deliberately plotting course through an explosive gas pocket, to "keep us on our toes", citing the man. Which made me doubt not only man's navigation skills but also his adequacy and fitness for the position, part of which I have raised my concerns about to Struikas.

Which he had labelled insubordination.

And as if to punish me for my presumed impudence, comtinued to take routes more and nore threatning, plotting course through volatile or outright dangerous systems –, coursing through most Omicrons – until it cost Bloodshot his Prosecutor, severe injury and me the need to limp to nearest friendly base to provide the other Initiate much needed emergency treatment. The ship was torn through by concentrated fire of multiple alien weapon platforms while following lieutenant Struikas' order to dock with alien gate.

I will return to Valravn once Bloodshot is stable enough to be transportable without life support pod and embed relevant logs as I am able to run them through a secure connection.

Meanwhile I request – no, I quite certainly demand that actions of lieutenant Struikas are reviewed, evaluated and given characteristic as conduct deliberately endagering lives of multiple to-be Legionnaires by a competent superior.
