Light Fighters

Light fighters need more love.

Arrow - Fighter command ship of choice. Dodges like crazy. Only two guns, but master mines and CD use and you have a superb and fun little ship. If your opponents are determined to kill you, fly one and laugh as they flail aimlessly trying to nab you.
Hussar - A swarm of these with my BPA buddies rates as one of my all time favourite things on Discovery.
Loki - It's a Light Fighter. It can fire a Mini Razor. It's a Hessian ship. Do you need to hear any more?

Try a Mistral. It's the same size as the Hussar (i think), while beeing a tad more agile. :ylove:
And yes, i fly my LF's quite a lot.

Dont even bring the slipstream up in this thread... that thing outclasses any other LF in the mod -_-

Lie. The Keeper LF can kick it into next week.

That being said, I imagine everything to be said about LF combat has been said. If you want real experience, join the LPI and get promoted to the Liberator... you'll face everything from other LFs (rare) to Destroyers (less rare).

I had a Scimtar with full buckshots for a long time, and noone ever complayned, was mercenary ID with Republican tag i think.

besides Lightfighters are so mutch fun in a groupfight, but allone woith a single lightfighter...the onlything you can do is kill bombers, and only if you dont mine yourself to death.

The Slipstream is an amazing LF. I fly it all the time on my Phantom and I can usually rip people apart quite easily. I've flown the Ki, Arrow and Loki. The Ki isn't so great. Its ugly for starters, but the Arrow and Loki are great.

All I have to say to that is.... *the finger*
I loved mine.... loved it. Phantoms.... bleh.

Anyways, the libby is a nice killing machine. The scimmy is a good fighter but suffers from being pretty big. It does have a forward firing turret. The loki is made of lol and win.

What I have found that works great with them all is to use the ship like a nuke dive bomber. Missiles will hurt your damage output. Too many people know how to get around them so you will just end up screwing yourself out of hull killing ability. Loki is the only exception because it has the mini.

I split my loadout between debs and hull busters and have at it.

I am a hard core lover of the LF, if you don't mind ruining your hands they are the most fun ships behind cruisers.
