You should have stayed active. see this is what sucks the most.
you guys make a fun group, head in and do the fun part.
then you drop it to die and its all gone.

such a shame, and I was looking forward to miners crying more.
don't lower the prices. I'll go mad.

Who says we are not going to stay active???:$

Oh, and sorry about having to lie to you Ivan.

Robbing miners is great fun.

The best part is fencing off the ill-gotten gains, since selling it as a pirate doesn't make as much as selling to a fence, who can sell at proper sellpoints.

Actually, that's a lie.

The best part is the robbery. Robbing people rules. And the easy money from the defenceless, escortless chumps just makes it even better.

Also, a quick kudos to the Kishiro vessel, who, whilst mining in the very dangerous Dublin, remained fully in roleplay, in spite of having its whole cargo nicked and fenced off to a passing Bowex hauler.

Oh, and, unfortunately, I grew used to 'YOU CNAT PIERAT ME!11!' long ago.

As amusing as this is, and as much fun as I'm sure it is, I am curious: Why was the generic Miner ID given the ability to demand ore? Isn't that akin to giving the generic Indie Trader ID the ability to demand cargo?

Dusty's idea was to make it be a more 'corporate warfare' type environment. The 'independent miners' have a chip on their shoulder against the big companies, and can't land on their bases. They also scratch, scrabble, and claw their way to any profit they can. Even if they have to create a few wrecks along the way.

Please note the ability of many of the corporate IDs to prey upon one another. Any of the DSE ships that we jumped could have easily done the same to us.

Play along unless it's blatantly out of roleplay. Roleplay changes, it's dynamic. It doesn't fit in a neat little box. Otherwise it wouldn't be fun.

This is something to live by. I have never seen nor given any better advice than this. Man, if only more people abode by this...

' Wrote:Page 1, Baconsoda's link- that was me. I am honestly tired of shooting pirate miners. That whole Miners can pirate thing is annoying...

I thought it was fun. I feel bad for you all having to keep up with 5 people. >.>

Reason number one billion not to go to Liberty: Admins&friends pirating playground.

*puts away notebook*

I'm glad you guys enjoyed such a thing, from the pictures it looks fun indeed. Still ,it looks somewhat weird to use a lawful corporations transport to pirate.. Doesn't matter much, I guess.

Oh, and please don't cut on the profits... Wait, I really don't care... Anyways, if the goal is to incentive escorts then cutting profits wouldn't help it at all...

Still, nice experiment overall

*plots to start a similar group*

So, you're saying Admins only play in Liberty? The server isn't an admin playground for them to normally play the game in? Just Liberty? Honestly, just because some of the administrators and us went around pirating doesn't mean that it was on the edge of legality, or that it was morally wrong for us to try and Roleplay with these miners.

Lawful transports have been used for Piracy for ages, now. The LWB have had a Behemoth squadron as long as I can remember the faction, and I was there to start it...

Well, a Kruger miner disappears in the Elbich Field. No one to blame it on? No proof of anything happened? Some random guy shows up with a ship full of Silver, but no one is sure how he got it? Sounds like a miner who got a little jealous, to me. But, then again, who says Kruger can't pick on the little guy in their Omega-7 field? No one would know...

Your inability to spot a joke amuses me. Regardless, I was just saying that it seemed a bit ... off that GMG transports would be used for pirating. The Behemoths and other non-brand civilian transports are easy to purchase, so there shouldn't be any problems for even the most vile of pirate organizations get some. The GMG ships, however, are GMG. As in, used by the GMG. I don't think that miners outside the GMG, let alone pirates, could have access to them. Then again, I don't have a GMG character, so I might just be talking gibberish...

Well, in theory the Miner ID implies that the person carrying is a Miner...
Doesn't state a faction...
Who's to say I can't grab a GMG IFF, and use the ship?
GMG Affiliate...

Well, what are GMG miners? They're civilians. They could've stopped us, also, but, they didn't. They did see us twice, and both times we were full of ore. I don't know why they didn't, if they wanted to, but, oh well.
