Im haf say that i really never see Hfs. I only ever see Lfs Vhfs, and the occasional Bomber. Methinks there should be more ships in between the light fighters and the very heavy fighters. I tend to lean towards the lighter ships, its rather hard to kill me, but i find myself being unable to kill anyone else. (methinks all weapons need a bit of a tweaking to be more lethal)
Id vote that we add more ships (and reorganize some) to fill all roles from:

Vlf-Lf-Mf-Hf-Vhf-Shf(id say bombers are modified Shf's (spatial) meant to attack capital ships)
Id rather not see Mk2s of every single ship. It dosnt make much sense.

That would be REALLY hard to make 5 different variants of Fighters for everything. I think that is a bit much. At most we have LF-HF-VHF

Agreed.

EDIT: ALRIGHT, who's spam-posting the "nope" option as a guest? EVERY SINGLE TIME the "Yes" option goes up, within 24 hours the "Nope" one goes up to EXACTLY THE SAME NUMBER and STOPS. Denelo, there are over 500 people in these forums that frequent them and 31 of them have voted. Its not guests that are spamming, or at least I hope not.

Yeah... just find it rather odd that every single time the yes option goes up, the no option goes up to exactly the same number. Every. Single. Time.

Yeah. Some balance would be nice.

However, with the current setup, it allows people to simply work their way up until they get a good ship. My Kusari State Police account, for example, started out with a Starflier, once I got the cash I got a Drake, and then after that I got a Wyrm.

However, what I don't like is how the weaker ships, LFs and HFs, aren't balanced anyway. The Liberty ones are weak, and the Rheinland ones are almost as strong as the LF MK IIs and VHFs. If anything were to be fixed, it would have to be that.

5 main classes of fighters should do:
"Starflier" is the basic ship you start out with. Just like usual. Leave it crappy and underbalanced. Though that is a little unorthodox.
LF MK Is should have good manoeuvrability but are weak and have low power. Small cargo hold.
LF MK IIs should have slightly less manoeuvrability for more power output and armour. Medium-small cargo hold.
HFs should have decent manoeuvrability with even more power and armour, and more weapon slots. Medium cargo hold.
VHFs should have poor manoeuvrability with extra power output and armour. Medium-large cargo hold.

The differences in armour and power shouldn't be that great (with the exception of the Starflier), but the equipment level range should be separated by one level for each.

Kinda of like how the Turrets are now setup.
Using Nexus's setup:
The Starflier use Class 2-3,
LF MK Is use 3-4,
LF MK IIs and HFs use 4-5
VHFs use 5-6.
Gunboats use 7-8 (7 being low damage but efficient, 8 being high damage but inefficient).
Cruisers/Destroyers use 9.
Battleships use 10, although I've never seen a Battleship that can use a forward gun.

But, are the mod creators up to it? I doubt it highly.
