As with everybody else, he emerged from the sleeper chamber with a splutter as he coughed up cry-fluid and mucus into the drain. He continued spluttering on his knees for several seconds, having been caught by surprise and taking a large volume of cry-fluid into his lungs, then searched for his cane. It was exactly where he'd left it, resting next to his sleeper chamber. A thin film of dust covered the handle, but apart from that it was as good as new. He was surprised by the lack of dust, in fact.

He heard the call to proceed to the showers and moved without question. He was amidst the throng of people moving toward the shower, but with a bit of effort and using his walking stick to his advantage, by using it to hold others back, he was able to arrive at the front of the pack.

He was reluctant to remove the gunk-covered uniform which fit him so perfectly, but was sure a new set would be provided. He washed quickly, eager to find out what was happening and what required them to be frozen for... he didn't even know how long.

Once he had finished in the shower, he found a distinct lack of a change of clothes for him. He kept the towel wrapped around his waist, looking around at various people being provided with new sets of clothes.

The same two marines from earlier approached him. They looked exactly the same as they had earlier... or was it they looked exactly the same as they would look? Miller honestly wasn't sure what the Coalition was capable of, but he doubted they brought him to a replica Coalition ship and froze him with hundreds of others to sustain them for a journey to an undisclosed destination without some sort of time travelling. What could the Coalition possibly hope to accomplish by sending the replica ship with them all aboard out far into space? Why use a replica of the old ship, why use the old Coalition flag, unless they wanted to disguise themselves amongst the old Sol Coalitioners?

He found a full briefing on the console in his office. The marines had been wrong to escort him to the living quarters, and this time they took him to the Commissar quarters. He was still stuck with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, he didn't have a spare arm to use his walking stick, so one of the marines took that from him and he just made do.

They reached the quarters, and the marines departed. His cabin was more like an office. It reminded him of his father's office on Cambridge. There was a desk with a terminal - or what he assumed was a terminal, it had a screen but was archaic in design - and a fold-down bed. His father would prefer to sleep at the office, and when he was a child he'd normally sleep there with him.

A spare set of clothes was found in a locker. He closed the door, allowed the towel to drop and changed. The uniform was just as snug as the last one, much to his relief. He always found it hard to have identical clothing that felt the same when wearing it.

He sat down at his desk, touching the screen of what he believed was the terminal. It sprung to life, the "You have one unread message" icon drawing attention away from the other options. He opened the message, entitled "Briefing", but before it had finished loading he'd spotted another option on his terminal.

He expressed his confusion aloud. 'Tetris?'

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

The Good doctor stepped onto the bridge, "With your permission, I should brief the crew as to the mission, objectives and rules of Temporal travel," he said picking at the white labcoat he was wearing, and at the red and white Coalition logo on the breast.

Walking up to a terminal he activated the shipwide.

"Attention all hands," He cleared his throat, fishing out a cigarette and lighting it. "You are no doubt wondering where you are... the specific answer to that question is far more complicated than a simple 'here'."

His image was relayed on repeater displays throughout the ship, and the crew stopped to pay attention to him.

"Our orders were to travel back in time nearly one thousand years, to intercept the Sleeper ship convoy on its way to the Sirius Sector. More specifically, we are to intercept the Sleeper Ship Hispania, secure it and redirect it under our control to Omega-52. Once there, we will use the population of the Sleeper ship to found a resurgent Coalition that will rival the power of the other four houses, and firmly establish our Coalition as a dominant Galactic power!"

He cleared his throat, "I know some of you who are scientists will have causality and paradox questions... be assured we have tested these theories and know that it is, indeed, possible to change our timeline... But at a cost. The Coalition we knew will be gone, the Sirius we knew will be redefined... our only hope is to carry the words of Premier Katz, and the Coalition's goals with the Hispania, to be born again into something far stronger, far greater than we could have dreamed."

"We will be intercepting the Hispania shortly, boarding parties will be selected by Colonel Rhade to go aboard the Sleeper ship... it is expected that the ship will rouse its command crews in response to our presence, they are to be dispatched... Navigation and propulsion are to be secured, and the ship brought under our control... This is the Will of the Politburo, and of the Premier himself."

He turned to the Vice-Admiral, "For the Revolution, for Admiral Broch!"

Miller finished reading the mission briefing just before XiaBei began to speak. He watched the doctor smoke a cigarette as he briefed the rest of the ship on the mission at hand. Once the speech was over and the screen went blank, Miller leant back in his chair. God-knows how many years of being frozen had made him surprisingly tired. He closed his eyes for a moment, savouring the silence and the relaxation before the work began.

Slowly, Rhade become aware of his surroundings. He began coughing up Cryo-Fluids, a rather sizable amount of it ending up on the floor where it was slowly drained.

Slightly Disoriented, Rhade tried finding the showers to no avail until a Marine helped him. The shower was nothing special, and afterwards Rhade felt like himself again. Moving with a towel around his waist to his quarters, Rhade found a set of uniform on his desk. He donned the uniform, it fit perfectly. Almost as if it was tailor made just for him.

Suddenly, the image of Doctor Xiaobei came up on his terminal screen.

"Our orders were to travel back in time nearly one thousand years, to intercept the Sleeper ship convoy on its way to the Sirius Sector. More specifically, we are to intercept the Sleeper Ship Hispania, secure it and redirect it under our control to Omega-52. Rhade was saddened by that. He rather liked the Coalition in the past... or was it the future? Regardless, Rhade accepted that the trip made was one way. He took some comfort in knowing that he would help rebuild the Coalition, using their knowledge of Sirius. They would dominate it. He found it slightly ironic, the only way they could accomplish Katz's vision was to rebuild the Coalition from scratch.

Rhade sighed, making sure his uniform was perfectly pressed, he walked towards the Living Quarters, where the muppets, along with some of his trusted Fighter Corps Pilots were staying.

He arrived taking a good look at the recruits. Were they truly ready for such a task? Only time would tell.

Sayoko Kato just came out of the shower, when she heard the mission details. She was still quite confused because the memories of the past were gone, however she started to prepare herself for the upcomming mission to serve the Coalition. Her memories came back after a while and she recognised some of her comrades, who were waiting for the mission start.

Holmes climbed out of the shower just in time to hear the good Doctor's briefing.
Cryo had been most decidedly unpleasant, and he would be coughing up bits of goo for days.
He exited the dressing room, his fresh uniform clinging tightly to his still-damp skin as he steadfastly refused to believe what he had been told, even as he considered the implications.
Well of course we have questions bout causality. If the Hispania is completely redirected then all those who interacted with the Corsairs.....wait....and the whole history of Bretonia and Trafalgar.....and.......aggh, metaphysics is completely messed-up.
He arrived at his quarters and had just enough time to sit down before a clearly superior officer entered.
Immideately jumping up, he saluted vigerously as he snapped to attention.
"Sah, Junior-Lieutenant Holmes requesting standing orders and station assignment, sah!"

Ling had noticed Rhade enter the room as well as a number of other recruits and Junior Lts.

He was in the middle of running a weapons dis-assembly and reassembly drill. Many of the recruits were too slow, so Ling ran the drill again and again to the point where several recruits hands were bleeding with the repetition. Ling saluted to Rhade.

"Sir, many of these muppets can hardly hold a gun - let alone reload it."

He then demonstrated by shouting "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE!" During that time - most of the recruits had finished taking the clip out of their AN-74 rifles, reloading it, and then taking aim. Four of them where still taking extra precious seconds in order to complete this rather basic task.

"Sir, I understand you are here to lead our assault party on the Hispania. I also understand the need for a swift, decisive strike. These four are too slow. I can continue to drill them if you wish, however they have little left in the way of fingers."

"I'll prepare a briefing on Causality and Paradoxial Temporal Physics..." XiaoBei muttered as he left the bridge.

Alvarez rolled his eyes, "ma'am permission to skip the lecture, take two tylenol and pretend there is no such thing as Temporal Physics?"

"Best make that a ship-wide prescription," Broch countered back.

Alvarez grinned as he tugged down his ball cap, settling into the conn and testing the combat maneuvering thrusters.

Rhade was frowning at the recruits sub-optimal performance.

"You call yourself Soldiers?"

He roughly grabbed a rifle from one of the slower recruits.

"Like this, Muppets."

His fingers moved with trained precision, smoothly and quickly unloading, reloading and aiming the rifle.

"I won't have you dragging down the team. Either get it right, or do us all a favor and shoot yourselves. Ling, carry on."

Angrily, Rhade tossed the Rifle back to the recruit who grimaced in pain as the Rifle hit his fingers.

Ling saluted the Colonel and barked orders towards the recruits.

"Again!"

He joined in unloading and reloading until he was satisfied that he had gotten to grips with the old Sol rifle. It was heavy and clunky, however the bullets were larger and inflicted death in a more brutal fashion. It was not as graceful as his Jian. Eventually, all the recruits were able to unload and reload within the allotted 5 seconds.

"Good. We are ready. Our time is coming soon, rest for the few moments we have left. Prepare yourselves."
