alright. go into formation with someone and head in a straight line at impulse speed. have the leader thrust away from you. i found that i went into cruise in this situation well before 2.5k(it was at about 700-800m when my cruise engines engaged). i am simply reporting my observations. bear in mind that i am in a transport ship. this situation may change in fighter.

Your second picture shows nothing but your back to me going in the oppisite direction. Increaseing distance even faster. If some one in authority want to do some in game test I will submit to any kind of auditing. Heck I'll pay a million for test to silence these erronous claims.

Actually, I'm heading towards you. You were to far away for the hud to show you.

Those are NPC arrows buddy, 'I thought you'd played this game before?'
Player arrows are MUCH larger, and fade out past 2k unless you actually have that person targeted. Ze'ev was the one targeted too.

Quote:Now I will speak only for myself, but I wear Vans, Levis, and structure. I live in America and use items everyday made from else where, I have travel do to military occupation in my past and have items from other countries. My point is, its not good RP just because your stuff matches, Rp is taking on an alter ego and playing it. It has nothing to do with what your useing

You're comparing clothing to intergalactic spaceships and futuristic weaponry.. It makes no sense.

Why it's important to use the right loadout:

- Because it makes roleplay sense. You won't see an American soldier using an AK-47 in the field (regardless of what anyone here may say, I assure you it doesn't happen), unless he's lost his primary weapon and has no other choice but to use the alternative. He does this for numerous reasons, mostly being because he's trained with an M4 and not an AK - there's alot of difference between these two weapons, just because he handles one well it does not mean he will the other as well. Ifd the M$ fails the soldier can fix it, he knows absolutely everything about the weapon and will always choose it over a "dirty" weapon like an AK.
- Because it makes roleplay sense? You won't see the Chinese riding around in American tanks. This is usually because any Military's survival is usually based upon how efficiently it utilizes it's resources, and not how many resources they actually have. America for example has less everything than most of your other super powers in the world; we have less soldiers, less air units, less Navy units, yet even still we're considered very powerful. You won't see the Chinese using an American-made submarine because the American Navy would not have an extra submarine since such things are usually only built when they're needed. You'll never find any bunker or base (anywhere in the world, honestly) that will have submarines that aren't being used and are ready to set sail. Usually you find a bunker full of submarine chassis that aren't complete, awaiting to be queued into production. The same is true with fighter jets and bombers too - a country rarely ever builds more than exactly what is needed as wars are usually won not by how many resources you have, but rather how you utilize those resources. It would be literally impossible to "buy" a Liberty Dreadnought (for example), more than likely. It's a waste (all-around, for everyone involved, especially your citizens) to build more than what's needed, it's why you saw the Soviet Union virtually giving away weapons in the early 80's. Militaries are not like they are in the movies, not in a "proper" setting that aims toward relative realism, anyway. The last thing these people want is for you to get your grubby hands on their technology, and they'll always be willing to go to enormous lengths just to ensure that it doesn't happen (ever).

As for [RoS]. I've not had any problems with em'..

Terminology sounds wrong, but this is where...well...ordering, comes in? You pay them, they start building it, you wait 5 god damn years, you buy it, you own it.

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

No.

When you're talking about a Military, only an Admiral (or higher) can sanction new ships into an armada. Even in an unlawful organization like the Rogues (or Al Qaida, if you need a RL example), you'll have one guy who says "yay" or "nay", and he's not going to just make the decision lightly, you know? It's one hell of a task to build something of that scale, I mean.. Alot of it in the real world is done by Human hands (because it has to be, as you can't trust machinery to build something that'll be the shield for thousands of Human souls), so... Some of what you pay to build these things cannot be accounted for in money or credits, because it may take years to complete and the resources you need for it are almost always limited (in the case of nuclear propulsion and submarines, very much so). "Sacrifices must be made for power", n' all that.

Weapons like these are generally so sophisticated that you can't make profit off of them by building them and selling them. It's why you don't see superpowers like Rheinland and Liberty cranking out fleets of capitol ships day and night, 'cause it isn't possible for them to do that sort of stuff. Same reason why no one in the real world does it, the American Navy only has a couple thousand nuclear submarines in it's arsenal, and it's the second largest submarine fleet in the world. Russia takes first, but doesn't have that much more than America (500 units or so, perhaps). If you start talking about Navy destroyers, Gunboats, and all of the other vessels that Space/FL/Discovery ships are modelled off of then the numbers involved become even smaller.. You also have to take into account though that each House Military/Organization/Faction in Sirius is going to be significantly larger than anything you'll find on our real world planet, Earth.

ADDENDUM: In the old days, back when Germany was the stomping grounds for Hitler and the Nazi's, only Hitler and his very close circle of Elitescould sanction a new U-Boat into their Navy, because at the time the U-Boat was their most prized war machine as it couldn't be detected by Radar and they couldn't afford for it to be lost to enemy hands. Do some research on the "enigma code", it's pretty interesting. In the US Navy of today, they keep the reactors for nuclear submarines locked up tight in a bunker outside of America, solely to retain control over the production of these vessels. Can't build one without flying the reactor in from halfway across the world. You don't build a submarine in America without every Navy officer above the rank of Commander knowing about it, for example. Hells, these days it's difficult to build one anywhere on the planet without some superpower like Britain, America, or even China knowing what you're building. Same is true with alot of your fighter jets and so on, aswell.
