Avalanche, you can't stick your fingers in your ears and yell loudly and expect the bad people who don't say what you want them to say to magically disappear. The most important thing in a thread like this is people stating their opinion - anything in your first post is a topic open for debate. The leader makes the faction. That's why all of the factions I've been the leader of have burned. Miserably.

Dab's presented his argument very well. He's made reference to examples and stated clearly that Bretonia will not accept Murphy back. So this is a problem you can't ignore - you have to act on the feedback from the community or you will crash and burn and it will be nobody's fault but your own.

As for feedback from me; I don't see a need for IAB now that BIS is in town.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

On a side note, it can't be good if there is bad blood between the leader of the IAB and the leaders of Bretonia Armed Forces, so to speak.

Either way, i always support more people in the spy business, it brings good things to the server roleplay and shakes things up a little.

People stated their opinions, "We don't want Wolf to be leader" Okay, great, fine, say it. But then they just go on... and on... and on... and fecking on about that one point. Its sad that they can make 4 pages of pure crap from 3 words out of 1000 plus in the OP.

A handful said the same for the BDM, saying how the BDM or any form of usage in the BDM ID for a faction was a useless idea due to the [RM-MND] and now look at the two factions... BDM is paying the proper full attention to the spying task and the RM is doing the same but for the Navy side. What your saying is like FOR EXAMPLE, when discovery started the Liberty Navy faction had its own little LSF side and said "We are handling the LSF side as well as the Navy, its all cool we'll handle both". Stupid idea due to history showing us a faction cannot effectively run two drastically different RPs under one.

This topic is getting tiring. Seriously.

I'd just like to clarify, I have no problem with a group taking over BIS / Replacing BIS / Merging with BIS.

However, that depends entirely on the person who leads said group.

Good faction post, don't like the leadership. Seems this is the 'in' statement.

I'm curious on your stance on Gallic factions as they are not in the diplomacy listing. I'm looking for reactions to say a Gallic trader or miner in the IDF or GMS for they might come down to Leeds or Dublin at times.

The problem with intelligence factions is that they have to rely on doing job of the military to remain active. Their RP usually involves more monitoring and forum RP. BDM| & =LSF= are more seen usually pvp'ing everyone rather then writing down tons of forum RP.

That is because the other 997 words are peachy. The reason people are going on about it is because you basically said. We don't care if you don't like him, your feedback isn't constructive and thus we are going to ignore it.

Basically, the reason its went on is because of the attitude displayed here. If you can't understand that by now, this faction is doomed to the same fate as the last IAB Murphy was the leader of.

I'll ask again, why can't Murphy let someone else where the tiara of leadership? That would solve what seems to be the biggest problem people have with the faction, those people being the ones the IAB must work with and be able to get along with. Hrm?

If I knew that by stepping down as leader of a faction that it would benefit said faction, I'd do it in a heart beat.

Avalanche, I understand that you hate to see a project of yours being threatened. And you seem to be very eagerly looking for your faction projects to be successful.

But please understand that the "leadership question" is absolutely important. I mean no disrespect when I say that a faction writeup can be done by anybody in a way that is acceptable.

But: IAB is a faction that has enormous ingame power. Their actions have a massive impact on the gameplay, faction relations, foreign policy.

To do this, a faction like IAB needs to be able to cooperate OORPLY with the factions it plays with, and even more with those factions/persons it wants to play against!

I have neither seen the first, nor the latter in the last attempt.

Another important skill is conflict management. Especially when you want to claim a position of power, you must be willing and capable of solving ingame and out-of-game problems.

Just to show you why I will fiercely oppose the leadership is the following example: Wolf's Ghost saw IMG| in a group with a Keeper on the chatlist, harmless rp of a small nomad who followed an IMG convoy because it thought IMG convoy was a hive mind and wanted to learn.

The following is censored footage, as forum rules don't allow these things to be posted:

Don't post skype chatlogs without the permission of the people involved.
Zelot

Is this the way a faction leader should adress another faction leader when he sees something harmless like a grouping?
Is it the way to adress anybody?
Should a person that rages oorply at a player when there is something ingame be a faction leader?

Imagine the storm that will break loose when there is really something to worry about...

I don't want to experience that.

Assign another faction leader and I have no problem with IAB. I won't play with/against Wolf's Ghost again. He is on permanent ban because enough is enough.

I think we're coming dangerously close to a trial by forum here. I'd rather not see this thread locked, we need it and we -are- open to feedback. We are taking your leadership concerns into account, but you have to understand that we aren't just going to dump the intended leader overnight. I think Avalanche's reccord in creating factions, many of which were previously dead or had previously failed, speaks for itself. I'm asking you for 2 things here:

1. Bear in mind that just because Wolfs Ghost leads the faction does not mean he is going to swear and rage at everyone he meets ingame. Yes, you have to work with us, but in an RP sense. There will very likely be a high command in place as well to help out with that.

2. We're asking for a little time to here to get out and start the ball rolling. I have a hard time believing that personal disagreements with someone, even if that person is the faction leader, should lead the entire faction to be condemned. There is just as much potential for this faction as there is for any other. Many of you have already stated that this faction should suffer because wolfs ghost is leading it. Please keep in mind that such heavy and consistent criticism does much of the same harm.

I think both sides have had their say on the matter. Once again, all we're asking for is a little time and a degree of open-mindedness to try and make this a successful faction.

Edit: Fixed oms grammar and wording, spaced to prevent wall of text

I agree however my previous attempt for calm has seemed to have been generally ignored.
