' Wrote:Could we have a little thinking outside of the reputation board box here please. Just because your rep allows
you to dock somewhere, doesn't mean it falls into a roleplay situation. Corsairs docking on New Berlin is pretty
black and white when it comes to a 'things not to do' scenario though ...
The rest would have to be thought through very carefully considering all the existing factions here, NPC and
player ones, just as long as it falls into the bounds of some credibility.

Would I be right in interpreting that (in terms of the bundschuh example) to mean that you wouldn't sanction said Bundschuh for docking at, say, Houston, as long as you didn't have evidence he was misbehaving/had evidence he was asking politely for temporary asylum? That specific example is somewhat relevant to me particularly as I am interested in starting up a bundie. On that note, would I have to ask Daumann/Kruger types for cargo (then destroy it) or could I simply attack them after giving fair warning and identifying targets? ("Death to the true enemies of Rheinland!" or "For what you have done to my family and my nation, you must die! FOR RHEINLAND!!!")

Although the pirate vs terrorist ID thread was active for awhile it seems to have died down without getting finished; perhaps some feedback on the 'guide' (pg 3) and amendments?

Sorry for straying off-topic.:$

I got a new question, and by no means do I mean to step over Soveriegns question. There are some players for various reasons that don't participate on the forums. You folks may all know at least one. I know one and they are not very confident in their literary skills but, love to role play. They are even getting better with their typeing reading, writeing as a result of this server. How ever they are timid to step into the waters of the forums.

Now, they have tried to ask a couple of the factions of Liberty how to join them so he can help their cause, and it also what he would enjoy. They however have not even given him so much as a BUZZ off.
Now, another factor of this story is he just bought his first capship a Liberty cruiser. He's asked me what he should do because at this point he says he'll try a little longer and if no one answers him he's just going to start killing stuff, as a disallusioned Liberty officer and his forgotten crew.

Now it pains me to see someone being shuned because he's not recognizable in my favorite hobby, and he is actively trying to play along. So, what do we think the right thing to do is here. Leave him hanging in the wind that smacks of the anti independent/capital ship eliteism so, he can become exactly what was described as a cap abuser? Or, will someone with some strings in Liberty take him under thier wing and guide him with out makeing him sacrifice all he's worked for. This is our chance to step up and make a better RPer, or another Cap abuser, no it Liberties choice. I can do nothing for him since he very much wants to represent Liberty and I am not on good terms with the Liberty types. In character anyways.

So, I've said my peice and wait to see what happens and what feed back results.

Respectfully, Rick AKA Scornstar

Oh yeah thanks for the input Hoodlum. Hearing from our admin really does allot to bolster community cohesion on various issues, wether we like the answers or not? Hope we continue to hear from you or other admin on the assorted questions enclosed.

Question to the community is Hoodlum kinder and gentler than a couple months ago?:secret:

Why cant I be pirated by pirates in capital ships? It does make life easier but I takes some of my element of danger away? I don't see this as RP helpful to have impotent Capital ships criusein around any answers to this?

It's rule grounded not in RP, but in fair play and making the game fun. It's no fun for either side to have a Corsair Dreadnought pirate a train. Where's the fun? where's the challenge?

ScornStar, have your friend register here and at least read some of the stuff that gets posted. It hurts my eyes to read "who are the OC/LH/LR/LSF/SA" ect...

Also, have him find a niche area of Liberty, like my freelancer is dedicated to keeping the NB->S13 JH free of Wild and secondly to assisting the RM. Maybe your friend could protect Texas or something and whenever he meets a LSF/SA (SA...Texas and California only...yet why are they in NY???) just RP very well, work with them, and be friendly.

Is it OORP for a Corsair (ID + Tag) to run a trade vessel? I assume no, because the ID says Corsairs can trade. However, is it still OORP for said trader Corsair to dock on lawful bases? The other day I saw two Corsair traders dock on Leeds, deposit cargo then make a run for it. If Corsair fighters and other ships are so tightly frowned up when docking on lawful bases, does that apply to Corsair traders as well?

Hmm... (To original post) Well, I think that only the Order and friends should use the armor. It's what is supposed to give them an edge; one world against an entire house. But basically everyone uses it... Certain Liberty factions usually say, "Just passing through." Then buy it. The use it... Well, anywho. That's just me; but try walking into a Russian warehouse, taking a few tons of Semtex and say, "Oh don't mind me. I'll be quick."

It's simple reagrding armour, everyone and the mum uses it, so in order to stay competitve everyone else has to use it and then get their mum to equip it as well. It's the only way to stay competetive.
