Bleh, GBs are definitely far more multi-role than they should be. Its the combo of turrets and the "trick" demonstrated above. The civi SHminer is very effective for the same reason.....

Don't argue for counters: you should not have to box like a madman to counter what is obvious abuse of game mechanics (that makes the game easymode). If we want to keep turret steer we need to take a good hard look at what its capable of.

At all? Not even a little bit? That is the boldest statement I have ever hear about a feature that is still in the balancing stage on account of it being freshly introduced.

The easiest fix would be to place a max zoom limit on ships based on class and size.

turret steer is good for caps, however they are still ultra easy to kill. You just can't do it in one bomber anymore.

I would say they took the easy mode off of bombers. You are not guaranteed a kill whenever you meet a cap in space now.

Gunboat i think is one of the best ships,becouse gb can damage all other tipe of ships.

I don't know only one thing-I have Tridente and 7-8 turrets are missles in old mod i can shot esier to backward but now you have to press almost back view to shot back.Strange :wacko:

I: Gunboats are ok.
II: Some gunboats are better at job A than at job B and vice-versa.
III: Turret Steering + Turret Zoom are the main reasons Gunboats can fulfill their role properly now.
IV: Their role is to mess up Snubs, especially Fighters.
V: Neither feature is OP.
VI: Both can be easily countered, lol.
VII: This thread sux.
VIII: Your mother is a very nice lady.
IX: Veygaar is actually totally right here:

I use gunboats a lot and that targeting 'feature' with zooming all the way out is completely lame and should be removed asap. Remove zooming entirely if that targeting 'feature' can't be removed separately.
