I went into the line of fire at the base but didn't attack back, only later defended allies, in group that were clearly shot against. IMG have ID lines and they have in-RP reasons to be angry when Bretonia and Crayter meddle in things in independent worlds because of the canonical past around Aland.

That's all good and fine - niche knowledge. If you feel the ID is overpowered, okay - but that has to be solved by changing the ID, not these arbitrary interventions mid-heated siege. And if you make a mistake it would be great if you made announcements saying such right away so players aren't confused, or call senior staff if you aren't sure.

Make a restart IMG ship and look at how allied they are in the repsheet - the thing that decides whether people are green, white or red to each other.

The line also says Can attack --->ANY<--- ship to protect allies.

Don't take infocard alliances too seriously. A lot of them probably haven't been updated since vanilla.

IMG has strong reasons to oppose Bretonia and CR, for pretty obvious reasons if you've been around for their recent history. If people want to play IMG characters that hate CR despite CR's constant attempts at gaslighting them about their betrayal, that's fine.

IMG are by definition a CR ally. There is no standing reason to assist random scientists over your largest and most important ally. The same goes for the ALG. Shooting CR/BIS makes 0 sense from a roleplay perspective.

Besides, shooting allies without a good amount of roleplay to back it up has always been against the rules.
