PvP = RP - I was ganked

The funny thing is that what sparked this aint even a gank.

The guy came to the 5 guys that "ganked" him. They didn't come to him.

They asked him multiple times to leave, and he stayed, because he wanted to stay and talk with them, although they thoroughly made it understood that they did not enjoy his company.

He was not in that place ALTHOUGH they were there, but BECAUSE they were there. He wanted to interact with them, they didn't want to interact with him.

Now, if he was at his home world, and 5 guys came to shoot him there although he tried to get away from them, THAT would be a gank.

This wasn't.

The amount of drama and BS being cooked up over this is just beyond stupid.

Firstly, I RP an ace and I get killed all the time. You don't see me complaining.

Secondly, any RP which results in assets or events that break the server is called powergaming, and is against the rules. So stop using false arguments - it's called a straw man. It doesn't have substance.

Thirdly, ganks are totally permissable with a moderated RP balance of ships. I'm fed up with people flying up to large groups of hostiles hoping for a 1v1. That is not going to happen. Suck it up, learn to dogfight in ways which are more interesting than flat-out duelling, which is literally the most boring snorefest in Disco PVP.

RP above everything, I'm afraid. PVP is just an aid to RP. It's always been that way, and always will. Sorry.

Your extremely poor and dumb attempt at giving lessons is so embarrasing that I won't even bother making fun of you, as you made sure to do that yourself extensively better than I could have ever achieved. Agreed. If anything, it just proved what everyone who is on Disco longer times know - that community consists of radical minority (but loud on forum) wings which has their point of view about how hardcore RP/PvP this server should be, and won´t change it. Majority of community don´t mind much these threads (or even avoid them on purpose because they sooner or later escalate and insults are thrown all around) and just continue to play their game.

At what point did I whine? If anything, the PRIME reaction regarding my post and the PRIME leader telling everyone to log off the moment they saw a XTF online is whinning. It's hilarious how you're trying to attack my clan when you have been just shown to be an unknowledgeable tryhard with no arguments to use other than your hate towards being bad in pvp. Because you sound pretty sore, you know.

I'd love any faction going 5v1 against me. The point is that they won't, they'll do it against people they know they'll win against, people with no chance. THAT is the problem, ruining it for people who have fun fighting fights they can win or at least have a chance in.
