He took a sharp breath in and then exhaled before contemplating telling her the truth, even if the thought of saying it cut sharper than anything he'd ever been struck with. "My sister. She was abused as well. It was a few years ago, I wasn't as strong as I am right now. She took her own life out of shame and there was nothing I could for her. So when it comes to you, I'll do everything it takes to give you the peace you deserve. I won't lose twice."
He didn't weep but his eyes did clearly water just a little, being held back by his discipline and personal restraint, believing he would appear stronger if he didn't let any of this out and kept it to himself, choosing to ignore what he was feeling, which he couldn't explain regardless of how hard he may try.
"But every second I looked at him, all I could see when my eyes closed was you. I couldn't let him leave alive." He was trusting her immensely, enough to feel he could tell her all of this, that she was worth the pain of all the recollection.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
Her eyes bore into his soul. "Your sister?.. I.. Perdoname."
She hugged him tight, as with much force that she could muster, which wasn't much. "I'm sorry.. I didn't wanted you to feel like this." Her sweet exotic scent of her hair filled his mind.
That scent would send him adrift for a little while, undeniably enjoying having her close like this, it definitely made the situation more manageable. He didn't want to think anymore, he just wanted to indulge in this moment with her. "Don't let go."
He mentioned rather abruptly, in fact he wouldn't mind if she attempted to squeeze his chest a little tighter while in the embrace. For the moment he'd rest his forehead against hers, closing his eyes and letting reality slip apart at the seams as his mind began to empty itself of all thought, soon only the feeling of her warm embrace was all his mind was cognizant of, something he'd gladly reciprocate.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
Hesitating for the briefest moment because of the implications of what she was doing, he'd consider if he should go through with this or not. The rapid beating of his heart and the lack of any protest from his mind made the answer clear however. "I want to be with you too."
He didn't think anything more than a whisper of an answer was necessary given the suggestion of imminent intimacy. Spending a few moments reigniting the kiss, he'd draw her in through the door-way, shutting it behind them for the time being.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
