Why side with the Xenos? Why not with these types? These guy's will promise a lot better things than the Xenos will, the zeeners are mostly in it for themselves.

EDIT: To Quote Turkish: Xenophobic murder. Or righteous socialist reform?

Here's my tip to Shryke: try RPing it out mainly in Texas, California and Colorado. New York is the cesspool, the other systems are kinda better and bigger as well = more room for RP.

Yeah well, how active are you in Liberty? I'm merely talking from experience.

Marcus the vast majority of the Libertonian population lives in a fluctuating state of poverty, experiencing now an economic and social boom due to their declaration of war on Rheinland. The reality is that Liberty is a sham, it paints itself as an idealistic state where anyone can make a dream, but the reality is much more akin to the depressed states of the '30s.

Pockets of affluences intermix with a majority of exploited labourers and those who can just break even. The Xeno movement itself was derived from workers who felt threatened by job loss from outside sources of labour. That alone should speak to the state of Liberty. Beyond all of that you can pull back the curtain and find that slave labour is at the heart of the economy.

Liberty is a tainted paradise, it wouldn't be a stretch for one dissatisfied group to set their sights on a more idealistic socialist state and take action to in their eyes make it happen.

I disagree.

Ok, Denver is relatively middle class, houston, not so much. But planet manhattan is the most populated planet in sirius, housing AT LEAST 220 MILLION PPL (according to vanilla, population could've grown a bit by now). EDIT: I forgot to add my point, manhattan has the most population, and the living costs there are quitehigh, I doubt to see any poor people/xeno's in manhattan.

furthermore, planet Erie and Planet LA are getting an economic boom as well, LA started getting one since vanilla FL times, and, well, Erie is just known to have an economic boom recently, perhaps because of its Zoner presense.

To call Liberty a state in which most of the population is poor is like calling Liberty another Kusari. The Kusari have government censors and what not (again, my source is vanilla FL) to make it look like the perfect country to foreigners. Liberty doesn't really have that, coz they don't need it.

I'm quite active in liberty actually, although not on chars anyone here would recognize. I quite agree with blodo, having a revolutionary movement based in NY would be silly, it'd be like having the SCRA setting up shop in New London. Branching out is much better.

Things have changed in the last few years mate, read some rumours.

If the server was anywhere close to balanced, I'd be all for this. I'm not against this group as an idea. The intro post is well written, the idea is great.

But in practice? See Hack's post a few pages back. Liberty is overflowing with unlawful groups. Even discounting the official factions. In fact, when I've played my LPI, usually I'm not up against official factions at all. For balance reasons, another unofficial unlawful group in Liberty is at best unnecessary, and at worst a really really really bad idea.

But if you are going to do it, I don't see any reason this can't be a Rogue/Xeno/Lane Hacker faction. It shares some ideals with all three, though not all the ideals of any of them. Pirate ID is a good compromise, but I'd go with either Xeno or Rogue IFF. Probably Xeno would be the best choice.

This. Your idea is solid, it's good and I have no complaints about it. But why Liberty? What's wrong with Bretonia, Kusari or Rhienland? If there is a specific reason why you chose Liberty over the other houses then I have no problems. But if you chose Liberty simply because it's the most populated house, then please consider operating in one of the less popular houses.

Personally, I'd actually like to see this faction in Kusari, why? Kusari is a totalitarian Monarchy (from what I've seen, no offense) controlled almost entirely by Samura (almost...), the faction you proposed here could be for creating equality and 'truly democratic' (but nonetheless socialist) government. It makes sense too, since Samura currently controls the government in Kusari, and its an independent corporation. Socialist/Communists believe that the government should control all corporations, and not the other way around, so that everyone and everything equal (since the people control the government).

You could make this a faction which could be affiliated with the Blood Dragons or even the GC (since technically, the GC fight for a matriarchy, but they still intend to treat males equally), although it could add to the more complicated storm of allies in Kusari (which should add to the RP there anyways).

Basically, you have the GC fighting for a matriarchy, the BD fighting to restore the legal government, and then all of a sudden you show up, fighting for a completely new government bent on ridding Samura's infleunce and installing a socialist government in Kusari, even changing Kusari culture by treating everyone equal (the same way the GC are doing....without the matriarchy of course).

This should lead to some interesting RP, and if the current Kusari government ever does fall...civil war will errupt, leading to MORE RP. Which is just awesome.

While Kusari might not be a bad idea, don't expect to be friendly with the GC or BD... both of them have ideas about what the government should look like, and neither of those visions include a society without a central governing authority.

Both of them do have their own idea of what the government should look like, however, they have put their differences aside (for the moment) in order to achieve their common goal: taking down the Kusari Samura Controlled government.

I expect a socialist faction in Kusari would want to do the same things for the reasons I have posted on my previous post.

First off I don't like the way you've associated communism with socialism, the way it was phrased makes one think the terms are interchangable, which they aren't. Socialism is distinctly different from communism, though sharing qualities.

Kusari is more akin to a feudal shoganate, which is the direct model used by the developers to create the governmental system. And it already its oppositional slots filled, both the Blood Dragons and the GC fight to replace the existing government. One with a true Emperor, and the other with a matriarch.

Rheinland is overflowing with political revolutionaries and every other kind of opposition under the sun, and Bretonia operates in a monarchy. With that in mind citizens in Bretonia as a whole don't want their system of government to change too drastically, they like it, it works. And beyond that, it gives them a sense of national pride.

Liberty really is the only house lacking a proper political movement bent on radical change and redistribution of power.
