The UPS sounds like a healthy option for a server definitely.

The RAMdisk.. meh. I'd personally set up a 10/15k RPM HDD RAID array.

I have a question here: How much space does everything take on the hard drive/how much disk space do you use on it? A small SSD might be a good future upgrade when they get a bit cheaper.

We need about 3 gigs for player data and FL.
