The Sigmas are actually pretty tightly knit, they're much smaller systems than the high Taus, and are littered with jumpholes. It's no more than a 100k flight from the Ogashawa to Freeport 9, probably less. I really think that a Freeport every 50k is a bit much.
Freeport 9 is not a free port. At least one faction has been explicitly denied access for no reason other than to not piss off the Corsairs. So, it may claim to be a Freeport, but it's really just a Zoner base.

They havent.
There may be cases were an OC gets booted from the NFZ, for reasons from loitering and ranging to more serious offenses, but thats on the spot handling of it, not a blanket ban of OC from FP9, as I see OC there all the time, and I dont stop em, because they're allowed there.
Andre, one of my Corsair characters is banned from docking at FP9, I didn't get a FR5, but several Sails got banned from docking as well. Just as the Outcast ship that was docking there.

FREEPORT 9 IS a freeport. everyone can dock.
Yup. My guess he has a OC that got told not to dock while trying to dock there with 'sairs/BHG right behind it, thats were a lot of the 'omg dis not freeport' Q_Q Ive seen comes from, folks break the NFZ laws in some way, and get mad that they got told to move on.
Viko's response is the valid RP response, accept it, move on, prehaps even wait til things have cooled down then get premession to dock again.
umm, kashi, i was talking to andre about zoners at fp9 banning corsairs from docking as well. its fine. someone violates their nfz, they deal with it depending on what he did. equally for everyone (from 'regular' factions)
corsairs, despite living so close to fp9, do get banned.

The incident I mentioned earlier was a third party, not outcast or corsair. I was told straight up by the OSI in a PM that I could not dock there because it would "disrupt their alliance with the Corsairs". The No-Fire-Zone wasn't part of the consideration, as I had not at that time flown to, docked, or fired with/near the station. Until it opens its doors to all who respect the NFZ, I don't see how it is a freeport.

also, andre, i think the wreck in sigma 17 is a good enough reminder. and the fact that not even junkers try to remove it.
I fail to see how a wreck qualifies as a freeport anymore. You can't dock with it, and the junkers have already stolen everything worth stealing.
