although some players cannot resist making floodlike comments in non-flood topics...

... in my opinion - freeports that are CONTINOUSLY roleplayed ... not only in exciting situations when there is zoner bashing season ... are taken. players who cease RPing their freeports especially in times of peace and tranquility ( the times when freeports really shine ) are hardly worthy of "claiming" a freeport. - hence, no ownership happens ( and probably no future ownership again )

if you claim a freeport, you have an obligation to be present all the time - and you are bound to deal with any crap consequence produced by yourself - and to some extend by other freeport administrators, too.



so - nothing is worse making a diplomatic mess - and becoming inactive to let others deal with the crap. thats irrisponsible and anti-social. claiming a freeport and going inactive is simply "slot-saving" ... hardly a gentleman either.

Yep, run a Freeport is a full-time job.

Or something like that. Hopefully I still have lot of things to do at Ames. Run a Freeport is very interesting especially the Diplomacy Part.

Of course, the last two have asterisks since they're close and might be under the domain of their nearby groups. The Virulian Enclave currently are responsible for Gran Canaria, so you'll have to chat with them about Lanzarote, and the same goes for Corfu, which has FP9 and the Omicroners next door. They probably won't mind, but you'll want to at least be in touch with those folks due to the close proximity.

Meh. Corfu is just meh. Why don't you RP the reconstruction of Freeport 7 by using a Zoner Jinkusu placed over there?

Yeh, Corfu's probably not exactly the best place to establish RP. About all it's got going for it is a storage base for supplies in the Omicrons.

Corfu as it stands comes under FP9 jurisdiction, as it did for those Corsair talks. If Silvan is no longer interested, it will most likely come under Omicroner jurisdiction, but I think we are open to negotiations.

On a more serious note Can we have more freelancer bases and/or freeports? So there will be enough for everyone...
