Hate to break it to you guys, but Igiss said it's impossible to make a gun do less shield damage than hull damage... so no hull busters for us.

EDIT I just had a Brilliant idea. Since you can make the guns weaker against some shields, why not make a hull buster weak against all shields!

I still say we need a yellow chaingun.... But if you want a capital ship one, mount a turret. The LAST thing we need is a battleship shooting 64 shots a second... with BATTLESHIP strength. If that math is even right..

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

Now that's the lazy man's way.. I say we un-nerf the BS's a bit, because 2 bombers vs. BS = unrealistic win for the bombers.

If the damage/drain is average - then why not make it more like a 'beam' weapon and up its particle speed?

Not to FLRebalance 10000m/s insanity, but maybe up to 1000 m/s?

A beam weapon. I had one of those once... not here of course. Talk about cutting through a hull. Reminds me of the light sabre. I'd have to say that would really upset more than a few, but they do look very cool. To the topic, I'm no fan of the purp goddess. Seems like a whole lot of hoopla with very little return, IMHO.

Nonsence, i'd like to se it dumbed down to 8 refire rate and much improved damage, to make it feal like an autocannon type particle weapon... Heavy and slugish... Perhaps with good range, let's say 850 m, or something...

I reckon a solution would be to make them semi awsome again then move them so they'll be on the Lost Battlestar, which is as good as removed from the mod as you can get. That would make the ones equiped relics, and insanely valuable. It would be like a trade in antiques opening overnight. A single chaingun would be worth millions of credits.

As people left or changed their equipment the chain guns would dissapear, until the vanished altogether. Howsat sound? Or would that defeat the purpose of this thread:P

We can settle for decent. We don't NEED it to pwn everything, I would settle for it simply doing decent damage.
