Does Disco still have enough player base to keep running all factions ?

I'm trying to have all Faction Rights and Responsibilities removed and bringinig factions and indies to equal standing as far as rules are concerned. In other words eliminate this term "official". I doubt I'll win anytime soon though. heheh. Can imagine my feelings of this thread. I do not believe a group of people are required to give an Indie anything. I do not believe an Indie is required to give the group anything. They are all just required to obey the server rules like everyone else.

Who actually is a leader has to be enforced in a oorp way somehow because everybody wants to be the boss,
at the other hand few people want or can deal with the responsibility that comes along with that.

Who actually is a leader has to be enforced in a oorp way somehow because everybody wants to be the boss,
at the other hand few people want or can deal with the responsibility that comes along with that.

The problem now stems from Indy's with faction tags that can just change their names to avoid player issues. With no Faction to tie the player to, they can lolwut all they way right up to breaking a rule, then vanish, rinse repeat.

With no official anything, it will be like one huge melee game.

Yes it is a pipedream, I know. I been against those Faction Rights since their implementation. Back then I was running the faction I co-founded, GMG|. I hate the official status and have brought it to vote many times in GMG| and was voted down on removing official status from GMG| in my bid to relieve us of the responsibilities while I continue to scoff at the notion of the so called Rights. I stopped leading GMG| and I'm now in a more capable seat and I assure that still I am being outvoted. Doesn't change my stance though but yeah I fully agree; it's a pipedream.

In that case you haven't acted well on that.
There's feedback, there are leaders , there are standards to uphold. (the latter for everyone, but official factions are more in the spotlight so especially them)
