You missed one reason: jump drives.

They make it very hard for pirates to catch anything and also take the fun of "we try to catch that convoy" from the game. I am not a fan of jumping, as it reduces the traffic that makes interaction much more likely, but it is part of the game now.

Jumping makes sad pirate pandas :(

I demand a jump blocker ship:D

Yeah but they never learn not to use novas against ships with flak, like every LABC.

And part of the reason people don't want to pirate is because instead of fighters, they'll have caps shooting at them. Besides, LABCs have a great weakspot under them with novas. I did work on one by myself, two could kill it.

It's not that weak, all you have to do is shoot at something (like an NPC fighter) close to the hull, or just roll.

This doesn't have anything to do with my day or any..thing...I was just wonderin'...If you went to the bank one day and while waiting in line for a teller, a six foot tall shiny metallic android wearing a shirt that said 'Davinci was a myth" came barging into the bank from the future through a rip in space-time and quickly disappeared into the street after blowing a hole through the wall with a small wrist-mounted rocket about 4 seconds before six other shiny metal robots sporting hairless panda-skin jumpsuits that said "Leonardoia" on the back came barging through in hot pursuit...do you think it would seem kinda weird or is it just me?
